Kaiser the Crazy.

Greetings!

Hello to all my pals on dogster.com!

My name is Kaiser, but my mom and dad call me many different things - puppy, Kai, KaiKai, crazyboy, monkeydog, and I hear "leave it" a lot, not sure if that's a nickname for me! I'm almost 6 months old, and I'm a purebred American Eskimo Dog. My mom and dad rescued me from a shelter, I wasn't there very long before I went home with them. The people there were awfully nice, but boy was it nice to go to a home where I can sleep in a cozy crate and have lots of toys and attention! I don't remember much of my life before coming in the shelter, and I don't really know why I ended up there. Before that, my mom wasn't home much and I did get pretty bored. I'd chase the kitty, chew things, and just go about my normal puppy ways! I guess she just didn't click very well with me :o/ Oh well - I'm happy with my mom and dad!

My favorite thing is when I get to go outside to play. Sometimes it's a nice walk, sometimes I get to run and chase a tennis ball! That's definitely the most fun, 'cause Mom gives me cookies when I do well!! Inside, I'm pretty relaxed as long as I've gotten some good physical or mental stimulation. Those kitties though, I gotta tell ya - it makes me annoyed that they run away from me but don't want me to chase them! Sometimes they slap me around, but even then it seems like they're playing! Maybe I should talk to Mom about this predicament.

So far I know some pretty sweet tricks, and hey, why would I mind doing them - I always get some cookies out of it!! I sit on command pretty much 100% of the time. I just learned down and will happily down-stay while waiting for breakfast or dinner. I love giving hi-five, but sometimes I get so excited I give hi-ten! Mom doesn't like that though, she's too busy holding treats in one hand to give me hi-ten! I always wait like a nice puppy at the doors, so I don't rush ahead and pull the leash too hard for my Mom or Dad! There's this other new thing my Mom's trying to get me to do - not sure how I feel about it - she likes me to spin in a circle. What kind of trick is that? It's kinda silly, but I guess I'll go along with it ... for a cookie of course! I really like food and will do most anything for you if you have a cookie for me!

Well, Mom said we'd go for a walk this afternoon, I'm going to go remind her of that promise!
