 Quick Bio:
Likes: Breakfst time, nap time, dinner time. And CALVIN!

Pet-Peeves: Seriously, do you HAVE to vacuum?

Favorite Toy: Her squeaky crescent wrench! Oh, and the Kong, and the Nyla Bone, and the cat toys too!

Favorite Food: Eagle Pack Duck & Oatmeal. Raw dinner at night. I love a little yogurt in my food (for the probiotics) and raspberries, too! I take Flavocin to keep my joints healthy. Mom and Dad spend a lot of time making my food ready. It takes too long!

Favorite Walk: Next to Calvin and anywhere is perfect

Best Tricks: Tricks? Who knows, but those hips are made for Hula-hooping!

Arrival Story: From my hu-mom : Crescent began as my "sister" so to speak. She was my dad's guide dog. She was raised by a WONDERFUL, loving family and trained as a guide dog for Guide Dogs For The Blind. That's my dad pictured with her. My sweet dad died in December, and Crescent grieved right along with me and my mom. Crescent and Dad shared a very special love, and she was constantly by his side. He called her his "Ebony Angel". Although my dad could not see, he clearly saw how amazing and beautiful Crescent was from the minute they met. My life's work is with abused and neglected animals, and as a person who spends the majority of my time working with dogs who have been given reason not to trust humans for one reason or another, it makes my heart sing to have Crescent by my side, helping to show the less fortunate dogs of the world that it is okay to trust. Calvin had a very rough start and has always been more comfortable with cats. Now that Crescent is here, Calvin has learned far more about playing and experiencing the fun side of doggie life than I ever could have showed him. My mother and I will be eternally grateful to GDB for allowing Crescent to stay with our family now that my dad is gone. After much thought and soul searching, my mom decided to let Crescent come to live in my home with Calvin, Ralph, and Joe. Crescent is so happy with Calvin, and she is more relaxed than she has been for months. They are each other's therapy dogs! My mom loves Crescent very much, and although she was an EXCELLENT "mom" to Crescent, Crescent seemed so depressed without my dad around and without anyone to play with. I'm sure she still misses my dad a lot. I know I do! But with Calvin as the new man in her life, we think she seems happy. I like to think of my dad as her angel now, and I hope he can see her clearly whenever he wants to!

Bio: If she will enjoy it, we have arranged for Crescent to become a therapy dog once she has settled in. The Delta Society asks that she is in our home for six months prior to therapy dog certification. We think that's a good idea.
