Missing our SR furriends..

Hello SR furriends..
Priscilla and Simon and our pawrents are all fine! just a little unhappy about not being able to correct the reason we dont get SR/Dogster email.. Moms regular email is shadow21918@yahoo.com,( feel free to send messages if you would like..) Mom even set up a Gmail account and the messages arent coming thru there either.. so Mom doesnt know what is up with this thing..
We have been enjoying the warmer weather and the activities of the squirrels has increased.. which means Simon and I have alot more work to keep us occupied these days.. barking at all those pesky squirrels.. you know we have to.. we just cant wait for the new bunnies to come out more often too!
Mom and Dad have been busy working on cleaning up and sprucing up the flower beds and yard for the upcoming mowing / growing season.wooohooo. we love the bark at the lawn mowers.. BOL BOL
Well, thats all for now.. we MISS our SR furriends and we havent forgotten about you .. not a lick.. BOL..

March Snowstorm of 2009.. A "NorEaster"

Well, We have had snow falling since yesterday.. and our driveway is completely drifted in! Daddy is outside now trying to open it up so he can go to work.. BOL.. Simon wants to chase the snow Daddy is throwing.. but Daddy wont let him.. he says he just gets in the way.. I am staying in the house with Mommy.. I am sleeping on the couch.. I told you I was a couch potatoe..
Mommy and Daddy say the house got too cold last night.. well, seems we need an oil delivery! BOL.. I dont think its cold in here.. Mommy says thats because I have fur all over my body! A double coat at that! Maybe thats why I pant all the time huh? So, Mommy is calling the oil compant to see about a delivery today..so they can be warm..I will lay really close to Mommy on the couch so she can feel my warmth .. I will take care of her.. BOL

God Lives at your Local Post Office..

this is a story I had to share with all my puppals.. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did..

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my four-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could, so she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will You please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with You in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that You let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope You will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when You see her, You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith, and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it, then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front
of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office.

A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith'. The handwriting was unfamiliar. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers titled 'When a Pet Dies'. Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith, along with the following note:


Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with Me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter, and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to Me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.

I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.

By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

OHHhh...NOoo.. Mommy Gave me a BATH!!!

I had poo stuck in my fur and Mommy said I had to have a bath??? I didnt think I needed one, but Mommy was persistant and she won out.. I tried to hide, yeah right, where is a big ol pup like me supposed to hide?? LOL.. I stuck my head in the corner and tried to ignore mommy when she called me to the tub.. but she doesnt give up easily and she came and got me!! I wasnt gonna help her out one little itty bitty bit either.. I just stood by the tub and looked at her.. "what was she thinking? like I was gonna jump on in?? I dont think so.." Well that danged mom of mine, just picked up one end at a time and finageled me in that dang tub.. Then she put the shower on!! OH man.. I hung my head and tried to worm my way out of there.. but Mommy kept saying "STAY!" to me.. what was I gonna do? so I just sat down!! HA! lets see her try to bathe me while I am sitting down...HAHA.. I had the last laugh.. Mom was huffin and puffin and I was just sittin there.. lookin really really sad at her.. She soaped me up and scrubbed and scrubbed.. and she even got all the poo off my hiney! wow.. that felt much better, but I am still not gonna show her I appreciate her help.. so, she rinses me off, and tries to get most of the water off me in the tub.. but guess what?? yep, I jumped right out of that there tub and then she had to try to keep me in the tub area while she made futile attempts at drying me with a towel!! BOL BOL.. this is fun eh? I ran to the bathroom door and stood there looking in the full length mirror and then you know what I did?? HUH?? yep, I shoook alll the water right all over everything!! HA! Mommy is gonna have fun scrubbing that bathroom now! Then guess what she did, yep , you got it.. she got that danged ol hair dryer out... she made me stand there while she dried me off... dang I hate baths.. but the dryer felt good, warm air, mommy rubbing me and rubbing me... I got used to that real quick and got really mellow.. then the time came for Mommy to set me free!! WHAM!! I ran out that door.. right to the couch!! yep and I rubbed up one side and then down the other on it.. BOL BOL.. arent baths fun?? NOT!! then Mommy gave me some treats and took me out for a quick potty break,, now I am lying in the living room chewing on a rawhide! WOW.. I am glad that is over.. Mommy says now I can sleep on the bed again tonight cus I wont smell like poop!! I smell poop all the time, I dont think it smells that bad.. but Mommy swore I wasnt gonna get on her bed with it on my butt!!
Thats all for now Diary.. I am glad that ordeal is over, and I think Mommy is too, she looks pretty pooped.. BOL BOL.. did I make a funny??

Schnauzers Rule Dear Diary

Dear Diary,
Mommy told me that my poem was chosen as the best in the Schnauzers Rule Valentines poetry contest this morning. OMD! I cant believe I won! I didnt know or even think or imagine that so many Schnauzers Rule members would like my poem the best. I am so humbled by this experience, Mommy read all the poems to Simon and I and we thought there were some really awesome ones!
I want to Thank all my Schnauzers Rule pup and furriends that voted for me.. Any and all of our works done out of love is the very BEST!
We love Schnauzers Rule and are totally surprised by the outcome!

1. What color is your collar?
My collar is pink! I have a bright pink collar on now, its a little faded so Mommy bought me a new HOT PINK one with doggie paw prints on it for when we go out..

2. What kind of food do you eat?
Mommy and Daddy feed me BilJac for the same reasons they gave it to Shadow.. It has the best most absorbable protein in it. No fillers or by products.. That create waste, ie Poop!!

3. What are your favorite treats?
I love BilJac Liver training treats and I am a fast learner when they are the inspiration!! BOL

4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other??
My Valentine is Struass.. isnt he just the cutest?

5. Do you get Table Scraps?
Not usually, but I do get cheesey puffs sometimes.. I drool for them and look reallly hard at Mommy and she will give me a couple! But other than that Siimon and I dont usually get table scraps.

6. What is your favorite toy?
I like to carry things in my mouth, especially when Mommy or Daddy are near by, I will grab anything like a bucket or water pail and prance really prettily around with it in my mouth, I can even bark with something in my mouth and not drop it!!

7. When is your Birthday?
My birthday? .....MOOooommmmm.... Whats a birthday???

8. How many times a day do you get to eat?
I get fed once a day.. and lots of treats sometimes.. BOL

9. Do you have a favorite color?
I really look fabulous in PINK!

I got a Valentine!!

Dean Diary.
After a few weeks of searching I think I have finally found a sweet Schnauzer Boyfriend!! His name is Strauss, go ahead take a look at his page.. see how distinguished he looks?? I just think he is the sweetest and the cutest.. I am such a lucky gal pup to have a wise one like Strauss.. He was blue becasue he didnt have a Valentine, I took a look at that face and those wise eyes and knew I had to ask him to BE MINE! guess what?? He ACCEPTED and now I am gonna give him lots of 'doggie kisses' cus I dont ever want him to be 'blue' again.. He will always have a furriend in me! and my Simon , son..
I am so happy to finally have a sweetheart for Valentines Day, you know this is my first true Valentine.. I am so excited.. Love is in the air, can you feel it? I can!!

Ice & Snow make it hard to go potty

My Mommy was laughing at me the other day.. we have so much ice on top of the little bit of snow here in Maryland.. I went out side to potty and well we live on a little hill.. I was having a hard time maintaining my 'lady like' composure when I went to potty and was slipping and sliding down the hill while I was trying to 'go'.. I looked at Mommy with such a look.. she just burst out laughing at me.., then I could hardly walk up the slippery slope to get back in the house.. Mommy was still laughing.. but I got lots of treats when I came in the house.. I think Mommy felt guilty for laughing at me while I was doing my business... she gave me pats and treats and hugs.. I love my Mommy.. she makes me a happy pup.. my silly antics make her happy too..
