Likes:
Food! If you open the fridge, he'll try to get at the cheese or some leftover chicken leg. He also loves to cuddle.

Pet-Peeves:
Being left alone in the yard. He'll whine nonstop until you get up from the couch and let him in.

Favorite Toy:
He really doesn't have a favorite toy. But he'll chew on your good leather shoes, steal your dirty underwear, and play happily with a cockroach.

Favorite Food:
Ground beef and rice. But he's been known to eat dead leaves, wax paper, and action figures.

Favorite Walk:
Around the block. He panics, though, when other dogs bark at him. While barking his head off, you'll see him running back toward the house...as if to say, "I'm gonna get you! You'll see! Uh, but not today. Maybe Tuesday. Woof!"

Best Tricks:
He's a champion beggar. He'll sit beside you, stare longingly at your food, and sigh deeply. He has the patience of a farmer; he will wait 20 minutes for a peanut and half a marshmallow.

Arrival Story:
We got him when he was only 2 months old from a family in San Juan. They called him "Saddam." He had a brother who looked exactly like him and also two sisters. I remember he was no bigger than a loaf of bread and his ears were so long they actually dragged along the ground when he walked. Life as we knew it would never be the same again the day we took him home. He is our sixth dog. All the others have passed away.

Bio:
Your food is his food. Your bed is his bed. He's extremely possessive. A stuffed toy or piece of lint that gets your attention will send him flying into a jealous rage. He sheds and drools a lot. Naturally clumsy, he's always bumping into people's legs. Like a shark (only fatter), he has an acute sense of smell and hearing. He can smell gravy on you eight yards away. Any faint rustling sound will have him running like the wind to check if you opened a bag of chips. Oh, by the way, he also steals food. Once, we found him ON TOP of the dining table, all 50 pounds of him, looking for crumbs. Oh, well. At least he's handsome--just look at those piercing eyes. And sometimes he can be really affectionate. He's also our own personal clown. And though he can be a real pain, we'd have it no other way. We love him just the way he is!
