I am too little sometimes

So Monday I got attacked for the first time by a big dog. It was a pointer. My mom thought I was done for and took me to the vet as soon as possible. Luckily I didn't have any broken bones or puncture wounds. Now I am bouncing around like normal so it appears the episode did not break my spirit. However, I am suppose to be on confined spaces says the vet. The good news with all of this is I am getting SPOILED...I already am a spoiled princess but this is to the next level.

Moms note: I felt horrible. for the first 24 hours she was in pain so she didn't look at me or acknowledge me at all. I was officially the world's worst mother. It is relief to see she still loves me after all that.

WOOO I did it

So we went and did a 5K fun run/walk for the local humane society. I never got carried so that means I did it all on my own four legs. Right now I am tuckered out but will surely be ready to play later. Everyone is just proud that a little chi can go all that way!

My first time on planes and in the lonestar state!

So this past weekend I have been on 4 planes, taxi cabs, pet friendly hotels and got to run around the most amazing scenery in Texas. This was my first time on a plane going to tx and so we were a little nervous because we weren't sure what to expect from the airline. We took Xpressjet and they were AWESOME. Our wonderful flight attendent named Venessa has poms at home and just loved us. She was nice enough to let us move to a seat that had more room for me before we took off. I got lots of peanut butter and treats on the way up and down to make sure I didn't have problems with my ear. When we finally got to Austin I was a little upset that I had been such a good girl the whole time and there was NO WHERE around the airport for me to go and relieve myself. (since piddle pads are not my thing anymore...long story) So I went on concrete which we cleaned up promptly. Everyone in the wedding party who "hated small dogs" fell in love with me. So I got to go to the wedding rehersal and the wedding. We stayed at a La Quinta where there was no extra charge for me and I even met a mastiff and another chi while I was there. Since I was experienced the flights back I just slept like an angel and I had fun stiffing all the new smells I am so glad to be home. Also on the way back we got stopped at the metal detector...we thought it was maybe my collar but it turned out to be that my mom still had a million bobby pins in her hair from the wedding so she is the one who set it off with her big hair. I am told that I did wonderful and I am nicest chi that anyone has ever met. Thanks to texas and the new sanchez family for letting us share the experience!
