Likes: Millie loves spending time with mommy on outings. The moment that she sees her Service Vest in mommy's hand her tail starts wagging.
Pet-Peeves: empty bowls, the new crate mom and dad tried to get me to use, and missing my sister (but we will see her at rainbow bridge)
Favorite Toy: We don't think that Millie has ever seen a toy before but we will let you know just as soon as she finds one! ***Update*** she has found a toy that demands all her attention and that is her Kong filled with anything she can eat.
Favorite Food: Derrick Duck or Rabbit
Favorite Walk: Anywhere with Daphne (we will see her at Rainbow Bridge again) and everywhere with mommy!
Best Tricks: all of her service tasks!
Arrival Story: On Saturday March 08, 2008 my mommy and daddy walked in to Petsmart on 290 in Houston. Little did they know that I was there waiting to find my forever home! They were there to get a new crate and crate pad for an adoption that they didn't know when would happen. But when they came back to where Friends of BARC was displaying me and two other dogs, they immediatly fell for my dance (it was the best ever!). Daddy went home and picked up Daphne (who is my big sister) and brought her back. We are still working on becoming a family but I love everyone so much I know that we will be a family in no time.
Bio: BARC said that Millie was found in Southeast Houston near Old Galveston Rd and Red Bluff. She had had a litter before she was brought in.
Millie has also become her mommy's Service Dog. Neither her or her mommy realized that she would ever need to fill that role but it turns out that she was a natural and has really been instrumental in moving the recovery process for her mom forward.
