Arrival Story:
Christmas 1992. My Mom and Dad wanted to get a puppy for my brother for Christmas, that is all he asked Santa for that year. So my Mom set off for the local pet store. There she met a lady who was a breeder of shelties. My Mom saw a photo of a little girl and immediately knew that she was the one to bring to my brother for Christmas. Two days before Christmas the breeder called my Mom and told her that a male Spitz went crazy during a storm and had jumped in where the puppies were being weaned...he had killed all 11 of them. My Mom stood there shocked. "What am I going to do? It is 2 days before Christmas!" The breeder told her that she had a black and white sheltie at the store, and though she costs more, she would let her have the puppy, if she liked her. She did! It was me! I had a wonderful life with my family for 10 years, but I also had an array of medical problems over the years. All of that took a turn for the worst in 2002. I couldn't eat, couldn't pee pee and kept having seizures...my parents found out...it was renal (kidney) failure. They were devistated. I was in and out of the hospital for 2 weeks...until I began to bleed. My parents finally decided to let me go...I was glad, I was really suffering but they did the best they could to try and keep me with them. So...off to the rainbow bridge I went and am waiting for them! When they get here...we will be together forever! Unfortunately....I was a "Puppy-Mill" dog...and due to the improper breeding methods, I had a short life (but a fufilling one). Please....before you buy a dog...make sure it's not a puppy mill dog. It really breaks your heart when we die at such a young age.

My Mothers Day Love For Ahma!

My Ahma...
My Ahma loved me so much! My top 5 things are things she did for me when I was sick before I came to the rainbow bridge.

1. Ahma made sure I was comfortable in my cage at the hospital, she brought my favorite blanket and stuffed rabbit to me. Each night she would pet my nose and sing me to sleep and tucked in my rabbit real close to me.

2. She stayed at the hospital every day with me; sitting on a piece of cardboard on the floor, and talked to me, and reminded me of stories of my life that I had long forgotten all while stroking my head until they made her leave each night.

3. When the doctors said there was no hope...she didn't give up on me. She carried me outside and held me up while I tried to go potty, but I just couldn't....I remember hearing her pray "God, just a few drops please".

4. A couple of days before I went to the bridge I began to bleed from my mouth...Ahma crawled inside my cage and held me and wiped away the blood from my mouth...she would ask me if she should let me go....and then beg me to stay just a little longer.

5. The day I went to the bridge she brought my family to see me, everyone was crying...Papa couldn't stand it, Brother couldn't stand it....they left the room. Ahma pulled out a pair of tiny scissors from her purse, I knew what she wanted....she always loved the hair at the bottom of my ears and would twirl it between her fingers when we would go to bed each night...I turned my head and she snipped a lock, kissed me and told me it was okay to go now.

Her kindness meant alot to me and I know she misses me, but I am with her always in spirit. She will see me again someday. Oh ... and Ahma....don't stop talking to me at my grave....I hear you and I love you too!
