A co-worker asked if I wanted to take Levi home one weekend for a trial run. (She had developed allergies and had to find homes for her 2 pups) I said no, I wasn't looking for another critter. She coaxed me into it, after all, there was no harm in just taking care of him for a couple of days. I thought it might be fun too.
That weekend turned out to be 4 years and counting...
Bio:
Levi was such a treasure from the start. Charley took about a week before he got used to him, but now they're best of buds.
Levi doesn't fetch balls like most doggies, in fact, he prefers to throw things. I worry about the other pets at times when I see a big rawhide bone sailing through the air.
Sadly, Levi developed Diabetes 2 years ago. He needs 2 insulin shots daily, and a special diet. This doesn't get him down though. He actually comes to us and bows his head when its time for his needle. (He gets his shot on the back of his neck, and this makes it easy to do) He knows he gets to eat right after.
He's such a special guy, very unique and loving. He doesn't usually barks, but howls. He sneezes when he wants something. He drives Charley crazy when he goes full throttle, running "doughnuts" in the yard.

It's been awhile since I've been here. Time just flies by. My diabetes gives me my ups and downs, but I sure did like the holidays! Mom and Dad around all the time and the turkey!! I hate now when they go to work. I sure wish they
could spend more time with me and Charley. Oh well, I know they love me and they try to make up for lost time. (They spoil me. ha ha)

This is so cool. I love to have all you guys looking at my pictures and thinking "He' so cute!". Not really, but my my Mom is a bit psycho when it comes to her furry children, and we just have to put up with it. Sorry for any inconvenience.
But I am cute, though, right?
