When Mao was a baby, he had his growly bear, then he was given the Filthy Republican, as an adult he wasn't much into toys, more into belly rubs and kicking back.

Cheese, any kind of cheese.

Best Tricks:
Mao was not into performing on demand, but would comply if pressed. If asked to do a Down on a cold floor, he'd offer a "shake" instead, almost as though he thought it might get him out of putting his warm belly on a cold surface.

Arrival Story:
When dave and I moved in together our apartment hunt had one main focus, our new home must be dog friendly. In SF that was no small task. After weeks of hunting, we foud a great apartment near Dolores Park with a landlord that loved dogs. We adoped Mao from his breeder when he was just 12 weeks old. It was love at first sight.

The End:
Mao lived to be 8.5 years young. Unfortunately he suffered from chronic renal failure that eventually was his end. He passed away at home, in a favorite room, in my arms. One sigh, and he was gone. I will miss him forever.
