Arrival Story:
Well, I had been living in the puppy room, for quite some time now, at the Lenewee Humain Society. My first owners dropped me off there a while ago because they had to move and could not take me with them. When I got to the Humain Society all the staff said that I was on a very poor diet, where I lived before, and that I must have been beaten quite often with a newspaper or something similar. They said I was a little shy, very friendly to people and other animals, and that I was a very well mannered dog. The part that changed my life came about 7 months after I had been living in that puppy room. I had seen this girl, about 12 that kept coming into the Humain Society many times a week. She would sometimes come in and stay in the cat room or she could come and take all of us dogs out and play with us and take us to go do out business. One of the times she was there she brought her mom with her. She came back directly to me. She kept saying stuff like, "Mom isn't she the cutest!" or "Yes she is a little on the heavy side but she is adorable!" Then she said the best thing anyone could possibly say, "Mom can we get her?" So that day she took me out in a little room, this time, and played with me for what seemed like forever. I loved every second of it! Towards the end of our visit time her mom came in and started to play with me and have fun too! Well they took me up front and decided that they wanted me! So I went home with them! I am now hapilly living with my mom, my sister, and my brother. They take excellent care of me! I have slimmed down quite a bit now that I get dog food and not just fatty table scraps all the time! My family says I am the best dog they ever had, even though they get really mad when I, slip sometimes, and get in the garbage! They love me anyways!!!!!!
