Arrival Story:
I found Glinda on Petfinder, with the same rescue group that I had adopted Flecken from. I had been looking for a small wirehair dachshund to round out my family. After contacting the rescue group, I was told that Glinda and her sister, Totsi (now Gabby) had to be adopted together....so I wound up with a "two for one" special. And believe me, these are a couple of really special babies!
Bio:
Her name was originally Scruffy, which the rescue group shortened to Scruff, and which I changed to Gerlinde, a German word that means "soft spears" (kinda descriptive of her wirey fur). Then, since the first syllable of her new name sounded so much like a growling sound, I decided to change the spelling to fit....Grrr-linde! But if you say it fast, it sound likes Glinda ("the good witch")....so that's what she is called
