Chicken Fried Rice, And - believe it or not - oranges and apples
Having to put on the leash; he actually hides under things in order to avoid this.
His new blue stuffed fish with a squeaker.
Anything consumable, he eats his regular diet, and then comes after ours.
He sits up in the driver's seat of the car and guards it valiantly. If someone comes near, he "gets his growl" on.
We met Jackson at Forked Island, Louisiana, south of Kaplan, Louisiana in Vermillion Parish. This is real Cajun Country. He was the biggest guy in a litter of 11. He has brothers and sisters that are fawn, brindle, white, and reverse brindle (black). He liked us and we of course love him at first sight. On the way home, he went to sleep in my husband's lap as if that is what he is supposed to do. Now Jackson is too large to fit in both of our laps and we can't possibly begin to understand how large he will be at this time next year.
When Jackson picked us to be his family, not only was he the largest in the litter. but he was not the leader of that pack. This is the first time we didn't get the more assertive animal, and is worth (until he takes every piece of bed linen he can find, and oh yes, the inevitable squeaky toy at 2 a.m.) its weight in gold.

Jackson is definitely a dog about town (only with a mom and dad in tow). He loves to play Boxer jokes, such as hiding when it is time to leave. His latest trick is to get an empty bowl, take it up to his toybox, and put one of his bones in it!!! HE IS MAHHHHVELOUS!

Well, it has been a few weeks since I have made a diary entry. Things in our corner of the Bayou are looking up. Mom is home and doing well, although she gets tired a little bit. She tells me her strength will get better very soon, and her doctor says she will be just fine. She said to tell everyone thank you for all your thoughts, love and prayers, they mean so much to us all. Also, she has lost some weight, which she didn't mind at all, although she wouldn't recommend a diet of chemotherapy for anybody, BOL! She says 5 weeks is nothing, especially if she gains more time to spend with me and dad.
It is hot and humid in southern Louisiana right now, and we get lots at Girard Park near the University of Louisiana, cause I love to swim and in general just love to frustrate the duck populous there. They are really fun to chase, although I have never, never gotten close. But it is fun nonetheless. There are also Neutras at the pond which take food out of mom's hand. A neutral is a giant rat which swims, I think, and looks just like an otter. I don't get the rat comparison, except that it has big old teeth, BOL. It won't come near when I am there. They obviously know who the boss boxer is.
It is good to be back online and I am looking forward to talking to all my friends again. There are no words that can express how much your thoughts and prayers have meant to my family. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts.

Yesterday was great, and today is gonna be better. My mom partied at a BBQ given by her friends, and of course dad and I tagged along, BOL, and if I am being totally honest, I was the hit of the pawty! It is good to mom feeling well, and having fun, and we all had a blast. Every day gets better and better. Looks like we might get some rain today, but I am not going to think negative. I'm tired............... need that morning nap. Later.

Mommy is very happy today, she got something called a stimulus check. So, here we go. Actually mommy doesn't spend money very often, and I think that maybe she should get herself, and me of course, and I guess we should include dad, something very special since she has gone through so much. We are going to a barbecue this afternoon. Today is mom and dad's 20th wedding anniversary. I guess that is a good thing. They seem very, very happy about so I am happy too!!!!! Later............. time to get ready for the BBQ!!!!!!!
