Arrival Story:
saw a picture of Leo online when he was 12 weeks old. He was such a cute little fur-ball that I had to go see him for myself. I drove from Alabama to Mississippi and was not disappointed. He came home with me the same day. I had always said that my next Shih-tzu was going to be named Merlin, but my new puppy looked nothing like a Merlin. So I decided to name him Leodegranz after another King Arthur character.

Bio:
Leo can be a royal pain in the butt sometimes. He is the first dog I entered in obedience classes. Shih-tzus may not be the best breed for obedience, but he is a fast learner when he wants to be. He has been through three training classes. I have hopes of getting him involved in rally and therapy work, but we need to work on our commands a little more first.

Advanced Classes, CGC test, and that Beauregard

I just started my advanced level training class last night. We are working on improving our skills to take the Canine Good Citizen test. Hopefully at the end of the six weeks I'll be a CGC, although my trainer says I can't wear sweaters during the test :(. I guess I'll just have to test naked. I was very excited about taking the class, especially since Bama will be in it again, but for some stupid reason my mom decided that that Beauregard dog, that she is always calling my brother needed to go. Apparently my trainer wanted to work with him on somethings before my class started. Don't get me wrong Beau is alright sometimes I guess...I do like to run around the yard with him...until I get exhuasted that is, but he doesn't have to come to training class with me.

The Good and The Bad

My intermediate training class at Pet Smart started Tuesday and I was so exited. I absolutely love going to training; it's so much fun. I got to meet new dogs, learn new things, and my buddy Bama is in the class too. And even better yet, everyone kept commenting on how cute I was (even though Coley's friend Kandice kept making fun of my bow). So that's the good of the week and now for the bad...

Coley decided it was time for me to be neutered, so I went to the vet office on Friday and got to stay over night. Coley's mom picked me up because she had to work on Saturday morning, and I've been kind of a grump since. You wouldn't be nice if it had happened to you either, but Coley says I'll be better off now. She always tells me things like that, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I don't have training class this week because of the halloween celebration going on in the store, so I'll have plenty of time to heal up.

Big Happenings

Last week my master, Coley brought home a new pup. He's a four month old border collie named Beauregard. I'm not so sure I like him as of right now. He is so big and hyper and he is always picking on me. Coley keeps telling me that I'll get used to him and even like him someday, but I don't know...

Tonight I also started my intermediate training class at Pet Smart. I absolutely love going to class and got to hang out with my buddy, Bama (he's a german shepard mix) who is also in the class. The only thing is that training makes me sooooo sleepy. I'll defiitely sleep soundly tonight.
