It's good to be Jake

I'm CGC Certified!!!!

Mommy was very nervous this morning. We went for are walk aroung the lake (boy was it cold....cold enough that mommy and I had to run at the end)
Then we drove to were I get trained and had to wait outside in the cold till it was our turn to take "the test" . I don't know what a test is, but mommy was anxious, so I became anxious (it went through the leash!!!)
I got a little tired off all these commands and no treats sooooooo for my sit stay...well i didn't wanna do it.
FINALLY I did it for mommy, she looked so worried.
We got a certificate, I got a treat, and we get our official certificate in the mail!
Mommy was so thrilled!!!!
We celebrated by going to the dog park and playing with my friend Moose. Then we went to our favorite store "Wag" and got a cute sweater to wear for our holiday picture.
We went and saw SANTA! Now I was freaking out a bit cuase I don't like people to lift me up and hold me. But Santa was very nice and patient with me (FYI ...mommy says SPCA Santa's are the best)
What a day....I'm tired!!!

Camping

Mom and dad and there friends took me camping a coupke weeks back! Boy was it fun! Mommy said I was very good on ther 3 hour drive up there! Once we were in the mt's I had the time of my life!!!! I kept chasing birds and leaves! Mom and day kept telling me to hush at night cuase I was barking....but I had a good reason too! There was something howling so i had to growl back! Mom even got me my own little dog tent! I love camping!

Mom likes to do this new thing called "excercise." All I know is she wakes me up REALLY early in the morning, I put on my sweatshirt and we walk around the lake.
Well I gotta reat, mom took me to the dog park for 2 hours and then we walked around the lake. I'm one pooped out puppy!

Never let mom fix my hair

I can't understand why I had to get up soooo early this morning! Mom put me in the car and wrapped me in a blanket. We went to Petsmart but there were no other dogs there. Then I saw the groomer station! NOOOO!!! Wasn't yesterday bad enough.
It all started with going to Petsmart to get my Halloween picture taken ( I was a little devil....with horns and everything)
We got back and I heard mom and dad talking about a "trim" before it got too cold. Next thing I knew mom took out this funny little thing that hummed at me. Well I had to bite it it was attacking me!!!!! Mommy said a not so nice word and the next thing I know....a big tuff of my hair was on the ground. It got go much worse. Daddy started laughing, mom was almost in tears. I can't understand what was going on. Daddy says we should leave triming to "professionals" and mommy agrees. She got on the phone and made an appointment to "
"fix" me. What needs fixing...I'm cute aren't I.....Brrr it's kind of drafty in here.
I have to admit, the rest of the night I got all the treats I wanted and my Kong was stuffed many times over.
