Arrival Story:
Dad grew up with a Brittany and decided to do it again. He acquired Rio from a Brittany breeder in Lodi, CA.
Bio:
Oh, Rio! We thought he was the calm one in the litter, but he fooled us! He's very energetic, mischevious, clumsy, but full of love. He still pees accidentally when people come to visit, and when we come home from work, he tells us very loudly how bored he was all day. When he was a puppy, he ate a lot of rocks in the backyard and had to have a large one surgically removed from his stomach. He's fine now, and rocks don't interest him anymore. He's very strong, and everyone says he's exceptionally large for a Brittany. Rio loves everyone - people, kids, dogs. He's very sweet once he mellows out.

My favorite neighbor, a blind white bunny named Thumper, is gone. I don't know where it went. I used to love spying on it through the fence and watching it hop along. That's what I looked forward to everyday when I went outside. Mom and dad told me I was "obsessed", but I don't know what that means. The new neighbor is a bird of some kind, but I can only hear it and not see it. I miss Thumper.

Ruff! Happy Birthday to me! I'm 14 today...hmmm...2 in human years! Mom said something like "No dog park...rain," so I guess I'm stuck at home on my birthday. Bummer. But my friend Buddy is staying with us for a whole week while his pack is in Florida. He's so cool, but I'm jealous...mom covered the couches with sheets and lets him sleep up there. Oh well, I still get the big bed. And maybe a jar of Frosty Paws for my birthday!

What happened to the warm sun? Will it ever return? However, mom and dad now let me stay in the warm house with Bailey when they leave. I guess it's because of the rain and mud in the backyard, or perhaps because I don't chew up their pillows and shoes anymore?? Or because I chewed up the soft padding in my new dog house outside? Hmmmmmm...
I'm learning that I get more love when I behave (yawn). And my new favorite place to sleep is on the human bed (another yawn).
We had a New Year's Eve party and my friend Buddy and his pack came over to play! I love the kids. Then, for Bailey's birthday, I ate Frosty Paws for the first time. Yum!! (Yawn). Did I just hear a bird? Gotta go...
