Vacationing on California's Central Coast

I just returned from vacation. I visited California's Central Coast town of Cambria with my family. It's always so much fun to visit there. I've gone there ever since I was a little boy. The town is so dog friendly. They have plenty of shops I can go into, a dog park, and I love going to the beach.

Mom and Dad rented a real cool house with a big fenced yard right across from the beach. Mom found out it's the place Meg Ryan rents when she's in town as it's so isolated. (Whoever she is?) Dad took me on really nice walks in the mornings too.

We went to my favorite "secret" beach several times. I love going there because I can run off-leash. (Part of my off-leash training as well) Not too many people know about it, we only see a few people and dogs. Very pretty and quiet. It's fun just to goof off, get wet, and have a good time.

We also did a little off-leash hiking in the woods. (Mom and Dad are really working to trust in me being off-leash) Dad and I saw a family of deer while we were out. Good fun!

We had a great time and I can't wait to go back. I just wish we lived closer. If any of you pups are close or plan on being in the area, I can't recommend this little town enough. I'm counting the days until we go back. I'm so happy we got to go! Woof woof!!!

Who could resist a golden so fine
Logan the Golden is truly devine

His coat is so pretty, silky and smooth
I bet even Farrah or Fabio would approve

He loves his toys, duck and dinosaur
maybe for Christmas he will get more.

Off a humans feet their socks he can steal
I bet he trained for that a great deal.

Catching treats in the air
is another thing he does with flair.

He's happy and loving a friend to all
he likes new friends both tall and so small.

His Secret Santa this year I became
and so far he hasn't figured out my name.

Montrose Christmas Parade 2008!

I was in the Montrose Christmas Parade last night. I walked with CV DOGS, "Community Volunteers for Dogs Off-Leash Gathering and Socializing". This was the groups second year in the parade and my first year. Last year, Dad thought I was a little too young.

There was about 22 of us dogs all dress up in our holiday best. My pals Jahsta and Kane were there. It was great to see all the dogs, kids, and Santa. It was very exciting and fun. Sometimes the drums were a little loud, but it wasn't too bad. We all did just fine. I can't wait to do it again next year.
