Arrival Story:
Mommy lost her Dalamatian of 10 years in Feb 2007. She missed him very much and wanted to get a new doggie to fill the empty spot in her house. In August, Mommy and Daddy bought a house with a nice big yard and Mommy REALLY started craving a dog. In Feb 2008, Daddy decided that they finally had time to devote to a doggie so they headed off the to Idaho Humane Society early one Saturday morning to have a look around. I was so quiet in my kennel that Daddy didn't even notice me but Mommy was playing with the Border Collie puppies next to me and said "Look, honey. Isn't she cute?" Daddy told me to "Sit" and I went right down. It was love at first sight! He took me out and I stole his heart because I was so cuddly and quiet. I was only at the pound long enough to get shots and spayed! No one else even had a chance to look at me cuz Mom and Dad snapped me up within hours of me getting put on the adoption floor! I'm so happy in my new family!

Bio:
Maddie is a really great dog. I don't think I could have asked for more from a 5 month old. She's smart and eager to please. She has very few "bad" habits and those are still workable. Like eating cat food. We just had to learn to work around her. Almost everyone she meets falls in love with her and says they wish their dogs were like her. Great dogs don't happen! They take lots of work and training! We're just lucky we had such a great canvas to work with from the beginning! She's cuddly and likes to think she's a lap dog. Now if we could just get her to stop trying to herd the cats. They don't like it!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Today is my first birthday!! I've been getting alllll sorts of spoiled! The girls at the local pet store found out when Mom went in to get biscuits to make treats for all my day camp buddies and sent home a party hat and a new squeak toy for my present. Mom bought me a pawsome "Happy Birthday" cookie just for me!

Then when Mom dropped me off at camp this morning, they had the whole day camp area decorated with streamers and balloons and happy birthday signs! Rick, my bestest buddy there who also runs the camp, brought me a cake too!

I wish every day was my birthday!

Mommy says I've been a very bad girl lately. I've been chewing up anything and everything. But I'm BORED. It's boring at home by myself all day. The kitties won't play with me and I've played with all my toys a million times!

So Mommy sent me to Doggie Daycare! Today is my first day and I sure hope I like it! I hope a lot of other doggies show up and I can run run run!

It finally happened. Grandpa missed me and convinced Mommy to let me come over and spend the day with him and Racer. While we were playing in the backyard, I stepped on the poor little guy and broke his leg. :( I feel horrible but Mommy tells me no one is mad and it was just an accident. I hope Racer gets better soon. I really like him even if he bites my ears.
