Fun In The Mud

Yesterday Mom made an appointment for me to get groomed. It was for 7:00 at night, so as if I wasn't smelly enough we headed for the park. At first, we just walk the trails and I played on the big rock. I love to just run around off leash. There is just so much to sniff at the park. We were heading back to the car and I was real thirsty...... I spotted a huge puddle. A mud puddle. Well, I just plopped right down in it and lapped the water up. Hmmm, it felt funny and Mom was laughing. I got up and started digging. I mean, crazy digging. Mud was flying everywhere! Mom was laughing so hard. I just started my "devil run" in circles. Mom laughed and laughed until she had to pick me up. I had mud dripping off me. We went home and I had to play outside until it was time to get groomed. The girl who groomed me said I was very well behaved for a puppy. She didn't know how tired out I was. Mom and Dad thought I looked beautiful when they picked me up. Mom stuck her nose right in my fur and gave me a big kiss.

Engagement Announcement

Holly's parents announce the engagement of their daughter to Capone of Brunswick Ohio. Holly is a graduate of Dog Talk University, with a degree in Basic I. She is now attending her graduate education at DTU, concentrating in Basic II. Capone, also a gradute of Basic training, is a guard dog extraordinaire and the current alpha of his extended family. A spring wedding is planned.

Cold and Windy Park Play

Mom and Dad brought me to the park today. It was very icey and windy and that makes it hard to run fast. I got lots of sniffing in though. That's the best. I think I'm a tracker dog. I also climbed up on a huge rock which was funny since I won't climb the stairs at home. Nobody was there today so I could run around crazy without my leash. That's lots of fun! It's great having the whole park to myself, but I did miss my Puppal Beckey.

Must run

Where shall we run today? The backyard or the park. All I know is Holly has to use up that puppy energy so she can be a good dog. (and not chew the house) The puppy days go better with a calmer girl. I wish I could find some near by lab friends for her. Maybe we'll meet more lab people in the spring!
