The Queen's Notes

Our Family's New Start

Hey Everypup,

I hope everyone is doing great. I know I am, because there are so many new and awesomethings that have happened to my family in about the last month or 2, and I can't wait to tell you all.

The first thing is Mom and Dad had to make a very hard decision to rehome Wookie and Ella May in July because Ella May bit one of my skinkids. They were not hurt to badly, but we just can't risk that with 4 skinkids, and Wookie was depressed and Ella May was depressed when separated, so Mom rehomed both to her Mother. How perfect is that, because she can still see them. They just get put up if the kids are gonna be there.

That takes me on to my next news. The skin kids were sad without Wookie and Ella, and Dakota (oldest boy) was really sad, and told Mom he wanted an English Bulldog pup for his birthday. Mom told him we could not afford one, and he cried and said all he wanted was a short, fat, sorta lazy dog that would lay in watch TV with him. That is not me. I like to play with the skin kids but I lay with Mom. Mom thought about this and came up with an answer, a Basset Hound. They described what my skin brother wanted, and so the search was on, and we lucked out, and found Chloe.

Chloe is my new Basset Sister, and she is awesome. We got her August 7.th 2009, and she was 10 wks old. She is beautiful, but she can be lazy, and she walks on her really long ears all the time. I have never seen a doggie with ears that long in my life, and it is so funny. She is really cute and she will have a page up soon.

The next big thing is we moved to a new house. It is much bigger than our old house and the yard is completely fenced in and we can run and run and run. We also live next to a park with a pond in it that's very wooded, and that is where I get to walk everyday now. We also have neighbors who have chicken n roosters that we get to play with, but they can be nasty. Chloe caught one and it hurt her, but all in all Life is Great, but has changed a lot very fast. I am having a blast, and I hope all you pups are too.

Let's Talk About Snow

When I got up yesterday there was some snow, but WOW there was snow everywhere today. There is snow covering everything, and I got to play in it this morning, and I got to snack on some too. I stayed away from the yellow snow though, BOL. I just can not believe all the snow there is, and it is still coming down. I am hoping to get to play in it more, and maybe with Dad and the kids this time. They wasn't any school today and Dad's work was cancelled. It is so pawsome my whole family home and there is snow everywhere we can play in. My Momma does not seem happy about any of it though. She said she is tired of snow, and that she never gets anything done when everyone is home, because it is Mom this and Mom that, and Honey this and Honey that. Oh well I am going to bask in the glory of the snow and having my whole family home to play with me all day. Yipppeeee for me. I hope you pups are staying safe and warm.

My Gotcha Day

I have been HOME for one whole year today. That is right last year on this day is when I got to go home with my Furever Family, and I have been having fun ever since. I have a Mom and Dad who think I am the greatest FurKid ever. I have 2 SkinSisters and 2 SkinBrothers, and they are a blast to play with. I love runnin, wrestlinf, romping, and snuggling with them. I have a FurBrother (Shih Tzu), and he also loves to play. I am a lot biggerthan him, but he beats up on me (don't tell but I let him win). I also have Grandpawrents, and they love me too.

I had a great Christmas with family, love, presents, treats, good food, and lots of playing. I actually got to be with my family on Christmas day. That is much better than last year. I was Puppy Jail last year at Christmas, because my Owner decided to dump me in the cold weather. I have to say a year makes a big difference, and today is gonna be great.

My Mom got up at 5 am, instead of 5:30, so I could have a 2 hr walk. Then later she made me breakfast, eggs, yogurt, peanut butter toast, and 2 piecies of bacon. She said dinner will be yummy too, and I have a Pup Friendly cake for after dinner. I am thinking I have new toys somewhere, I can smell them, and I have gotten a treat every time I turn around today. I Love my new life with my family. All I can say, Is what a difference a year can make.
