Arrival Story:
Ahh.. Our naughty 3rd child. I was working at a local vet and had mentioned offhandedly to a volunteer with the Henrico Humane Society that we "might" be looking for another furbaby. Next thing I know I get an e-mail containing a picture of litter of four 8 week old girls. We went to their foster home "just to look". I picked up the runt of the litter and never put her down! She came home with us that day.. That night we realized that she was ill.. uncontrollable vomiting & diarrhea. From working at the vet I knew she had to have parvo. I took her to the vet with me the next day and she was diagnosed with parvo. She spent the next couple of days at the vet being treated. She made a speedy recovery and has been with us ever since. Unfortunately, she was one of only two from her litter that survived the parvo virus. :(

Bio:
Abbey has been a problem child since the beginning! *lol* She survived parvo.. only to find out that she had Puppy Vaginitis that delayed not only her housebreaking but her spay til she was 10 months. After being spayed we did a random urinalysis only to find she had crystals in her urine. These days she eats Prescription C/D to keep the crystals at bay.
