Pooh plays rough with me sometimes but I get him! Favorite Toy: stuffed teddy bear Favorite Food: hills k/d, dried fruit, crunchy blueberry and apple dog treats Favorite Walk: around the neighborhood Best Tricks: down (lays on the floor), crate (goes into his crate), and sit Arrival Story: i purchased bear from a first-time breeder in iowa. it was a very exhausting but amazing experience to arrange the sale and pick up. i flew to minneapolis from dc and the breeder drove from iowa to mn and we all got to meet and i took bear home with me when he was about 11 weeks old. Bio: Bear is currently dealing with a liver shunt. Unfortunately when he went in for his bilateral cryptorchidotomy, his pre-surgery lab work showed abnormal liver results. So a bile acid test was done and a liver shunt diagnosis was made the following week. Currently, Bear is eating Hills Prescriptive K/D and is taking lactulose and an antibiotic that begins with an M(metrod.....) The good news is that Bear has not really shown anyof the typical manifestations of a liver shunt and appears to continue gaining weight and growing. He was a bit lethargic there before the diet and meds switch but now is back to his full-energy self and is just full of love and happiness. Bear will be getting ready for an ultrasound later this month and this will decide when surgery will follow. Forums Motto: The Original P-U-G I've Been On Dogster Since:
