Arrival Story:
I went to pick her up,and she was so pitiful and scared,and stiff, that she was put down on the ground and fell over,head first,right on her nose-the poor little thing. She didn't look at all like my "Dream Sheltie". She looked like a long haired chihuahua. I had to rescue her. So I bought her anyway. And she has been one of the greatest joys of my life. She is aways there for me,no matter what. I love her to death!! Sadly, my sweet Katie went to Heaven on April 11, 2012. She fought through the pain for a long time. She was so brave. In the end she still had control of her bodily functions. But she was having a lot of hearing loss and vision loss. She had a cancerous growth on the main pad of her left front foot which caused her to go lame and be crippled. She was getting growths on her right thighs as well. She had congestive heart failure starting and was getting in so much pain. I just couldn't let her suffer anymore. She died with dignity and bravery. I love you Katie! You always loved me unconditionally and I will always love you too my sweet baby girl. You were my best friend and I miss you so much!! I know I will see you again someday! I am so sorry :( Love always, mommy

Bio:
Katie has one blue eye and one brown eye.She is extra tiny for a Sheltie.She has gained weight now that she is an older dog,but for most of her life,she only weighed about 12 to 14 pounds.
