Arrival Story:
I was very hesitant to add Blade to my list as one of my family. The reason is because he was my grandfather's dog and his bodyguard. My grandfather past away in October 2007 and Blade still seems like my grandfather's dog. BUT he is a part of my family. He is very protective of Lilly even though she continuously shows him who the REAL boss is... Her!
Bio:
Mysteriously Blade's front left leg had to be amputated about 5 years ago. How he injured his leg is still not known.

A Little History:
Blade has been through 5 owners. His original owner committed suicide and this is possible why he has a high fear of loud noises. His second owner was a man who moved and had to give Blade away because his yard was too small. Then I came to own Blade after seeing a ad for him "Free to a good home" at the vet's office. While on vacation he was attacked and nearly killed by a huge Doberman Pincher and my mother saved him and he went to live with her. Then when my mother's dogs started to pick on him and fight him, HE took it on himself to go to live with my grandparents and be their protector and bodyguards. When my grandfather died in October 2007 Blade grieved so much and so bad I almost went crazy. He howled and whined for over a week. Sniffing around the closets and closed doors and trying to open kitchen cabinets looking for him. I still refer to him as my grandfather's dog, but truly he is again my dog, and the bodyguard to Lilly... As well as to me.
