Doggie Dynamics:

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

My mom wiping my paws when I come in from outside.

Favorite Toy:
The kitty

Favorite Food:
Greenies, greenies, and...let's see....MORE greenies.

Favorite Walk:
The backyard...I'm not too keen on leaving the house for walks....My people usually have to pick me up and carry me out the door.

Best Tricks:
Ummm...haven't learned any yet. I do a really good wet noodle impression when my people try to pick me up!

Arrival Story:
My mom found me on the the Lewis County Animal Shelter. She thought I was really cute, but I was in a town two hours away!!! But, that didn't stop her! She drove all the way down to see me. I was very shy when she came to the shelter, I didn't want to come out of my kennel and I DEFINITELY didn't want to go back. But when I was outside, I showed her how great I am! I sat up against her and touched her with my paw. I used the puppy eyes on her. I think that's what got her. My mom brought my brother with her to meet me, but he wasn't interested in much...he just walked around the outdoor pen and lifted his leg on stuff. My mom put me back in my kennel and I thought she wasn't going to come back for sure. I sulked for a while. Then amazingly she came back a few days later to pick me up from a veterinarian's office (didn't care much for the whole vet experience, by the way...). She said something about how she told me a few days ago that she'd be back for me. I guess I didn't hear her 'cuz there was a lot of barking going on in the shelter. But she came back for me. I was really scared on the drive to our house, but once I got in the backyard I was happy as a clam!!!

My dad thinks I was kicked in the jaw before they got me 'cuz I have a really big underbite. They like to show my teeth to's really quite annoying, but I let them do it 'cuz they usually give me pets afterwards. That's my favorite thing. When they don't pet me I just give them a jab with my paw. It usually works! I love being in my new home. They let me sleep anywhere I want. I especially love to sleep on the bed with my head on my dad's pillow. Except when he's in bed, then I sleep in the spare room with my head on the pillow in there. My dad says I am just like a little person. I have a really cool toy at my new house. My parents got it for me a couple of months after I moved in. He's a cat. We like to play smackdown. Ask me, I always can't tell though by the picture my mom posted on this site. I LET him win most of the time.

So Brodie and I really had a good thing going for a while. We had mom and dad trained to feed us and then give us greenies when we were done with our kibble. Did I mention I LOVE GREENIES?!!!!! So the other day I finished my food, ran over to my mom looking as cute as I could possibly be, waiting for my greenie when my mom said "Stella, you are getting FAT!"

EXCUSE ME???? FAT???? I prefer to call it Pleasantly Plump. I mean what does she expect? I'm happy and she gives me dessert every night. What am I supposed to do? Say "No Thanks?" PESHAAAWWWWW!!!!!! Fat chance!!!! I only eat them for my teeth...I mean my teeth look phenomenal!!! It takes a lot of work to keep my teeth gleaming white. But mom has a different idea. Now I'm not getting a greenie every day. :( Now I'm going to have brown teeth. Bummer, guess I need to go run some laps so she'll reinstate the DAILY greenie.

I love the snow!!!

It has been snowing the past few days at my house. And can I just say....I LOVE THE SNOW!!! Well....sort of. Not when mom is trying to get me to go outside to go potty after I've just woke up from a nap, I look at her and say "are you crazy lady?"....but I pretty much love it the rest of the time. This morning my mom and dad took me and Brodie for a walk in the snow. I was so excited, I practically drug my dad down the stairs. My mom kept saying "I can't believe she actually went out the front door on her own!" Usually they have to carry me out, cuz I'm afraid they are taking me back to the clanker so I make it as difficult as possible, but today I knew we were just going out to have a good time (afterall, they aren't going to DRIVE in the snow!). We walked all around the neighborhood. Have you ever noticed that when you go outside and it's makes you need to pee? Yeah, well obviously nobody told my dad. I would find a nice place to squat and he would just keep going.! Anyways, I saw kids sliding down hills (crazy if you ask me) and got to smell the fresh cool air. When we were done I had a ton of snow in between my paws, but my dad cleaned them up really well so it didn't bother me at all. Yep...all in all it was a good day. I hope it snows again soon!!!

Chow for now!

The sky is falling!!!!

Oh my gosh!!! Yesterday morning was SO scary!!! I kept hearing really loud crashes and booms outside the house. I couldn't tell for sure, but I think the sky was falling!! My mom said "Don't worry Stella, it's just thunder, it won't hurt you". Hrmpf...what does she know? I'm sure the thunder was coming from some really big monster that wanted to eat me for breakfast. Man, I was so scared, I was shaking uncontrollably. I jumped in bed with my mom and she tried to comfort me, but the thunder just kept going! It took me like 3 hours before I was recovered from the horror of the event! Once I was calmed down enough, I went outside and sure enough, the sky hadn't fallen in. I just hope that doesn't happen again any time soon. I can't help myself, I just get so scared. :(

On another note, my paws feel SO much better! How did my mom know that my claws were actually hurting me before she took me in to have them cut? Now I can prance around like the princess that I am and my feet don't hurt one bit!
