Quick Bio:
-mutt

Likes:
Being outside and barking at nothing!!

Pet-Peeves:
The vacuum cleaner, for sure. I attack it every time it is turned on. Sometimes it tries to get my toys, but I make sure to get them a safe distance away!

Favorite Toy:
I like any toy I can set "free" outside. Especially the ones that squeak. When I get a new one, I run around with it in my mouth until mom opens the back door and I RUN outside with it and set it free!!!!

Favorite Food:
Whatever you're eating...oh, and greenies!!!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere I can be off my leash and run like crazy!!! It should have water for me to lay down in. Even better if there is mud, I LOVE to get dirty!!!

Best Tricks:
Roll over (I do it without being asked if they have a treat in their hand!)

Arrival Story:
I was a puppy sitting in a petstore in Moscow, ID. They had me quarantined because I had worms real bad. :( My mom came along and saw me and it was love at first site. She couldn't get me out of her mind. Her boyfriend said I was so ugly I was cute. What does he know? He's out of the picture now, but I'm still with her! Now who's so ugly he's cute?????

Bio:
Anywhoo...I love my mom very much. It was cool when I was growing up 'cuz she was in school and got to spend lots and lots of time with me. Now she works, so I don't get to be with her all the time. But, she got me a dog of my own...her name is Stella. She's cool and cute too (don't tell I said that). We like to rough and tumble. We also got a cat, Tailer, ask me...he's a little snot but no one cares about my opinion...OBVIOUSLY 'cuz he's still around!

This past few weeks sure has been a rollercoaster. Two weeks ago I was feeling under the weather and was subsequently taken to the doggie doctor several times. Boy was that stressful. Just over a week ago Mom left me there and I had surgery. When Mom dropped me off she was crying and I didn't know WHAT to think. The next day she came and picked me up. Other than being a little sore, I felt much better. Mom says I had my spleen removed...whatever that is. She said I had a tumor on it and that was the reason I wasn't feeling so good. Anyways, I feel much better now. Then last week we got a phone call and mom was REALLY excited. She kept saying to me "Brodie you don't have cancer!!!!". I could tell she was really worried...but what I couldn't tell her was that the reason I wasn't feeling good a few weeks ago was because I fell when I was running around in the backyard. I guess I hit the retaining wall just right that is caused a hematoma to form on my spleen. Yow wee!!! Anyways, that's what happened. My mom just keeps saying "You are going to with us for MANY MORE YEARS TO COME!!!" Boy am I glad I am feeling better.

Thank you to all who saw my mom's post and said a prayer for me. It worked!

Kisses,
Brodie

Well, normally Brodie writes his own entry but today I write for him. We got some bad news on Friday. Brodie wasn't feeling well on Thursday, so we made an appointment and went in to the vet on Friday. What I hoped was just a case of constipation turned out to be much worse. The vet found a tumor on his spleen, and his feeling under the weather was a result of it rupturing and bleeding into his abdomen. Luckily it has stopped bleeding, so he is feeling a little better. However, the prognosis is very guarded. We were able to determine that the tumor hadn't moved to his chest and are hopeful his liver isn't also affected. The blood test has come back good, giving us hope that the liver isn't involved. We will be taking him for an ultrasound next week to make sure his liver isn't affected. If it isn't, then we will have the spleen removed. If it is we won't have much time left with him, as cancerous tumors on the spleen tend to be exteremely aggresive.

Please pray for Brodie that the liver isn't affected and that the tumor biopsy comes back benign. Brodie is the love of my life and I can't imagine what I will do if it turns out to be cancer. Remember to tell your animals how much you love them every day.

Sincerely,
Brodie's mom

Have you seen the new picture my mom has added to Dogster? This is soooo embarassing. My mom put this fake hair on my head and took a picture. She was laughing really hard and saying "oh my goodness! I have to put this on your Dogster page". Why does she do this to me? What did I ever do to deserve this. Ugh...utter humiliation.
