Arrival Story:
I bought Jake from a back yard breeder before I knew better. He was the "runt" of the litter and the last to be sold. He was 10 weeks old and would have been some lady's had it not been for a flat tire by the breeders on the way to meet her. I met the love of my life and my bestest friend in the whole wide world. He had a ton of ill breeding problems including pano but we have worked all through them at a cost I doubt many would have endurred ( I would spend double any day for my boy). At three now he rules the roost!

Bio:
His problems got me into Basset Rescue and we have founded Ozark Mountain Basset Rescue and average adopting one needybasset a week to wonderful forever homes. Jake also has a 2 year old brother named Monkey Maxx (foster failure #1) and a pretty sister about his age named Myrtle (foster failure #2) Jake says NO MORE foster failing! He tries to rule the brother and sister with little success but he holds an iron paw over any fosters we have go through the house.
