OMD.... I look like a terrier!!!! Or a terror as Peggy Sue was swift to tell me.. I went to the Snooty Poodle today.. I think the nice ladies misunderstood Mom when she said they could take more off for summer....EEEEEKKKKK.... Holly did not recognize me when Daddy helped me out of the car..(she was outside with mom taking care of some business)
I will hide from the camera until my fur grows again.... good grief.. It was humiliating enough when the lady at the desk told my pawrents that I must have a tiny bit of COCKER in me..because I am a big boy!!!! Mom is always vexed when someone says that! She retorted with a smile..." well, we have his papers and his family tree...but maybe the breeders lied..." grrr.... Cavaliers can be SO misunderstood...
As if this wasn't bad enough, I heard a "rumor" that mom and dad are leaving us at Pecan Acres for a whole week! OMD OMD OMD....

I have been tagged to play this "sporty" game by my pal Nibbles. Here's how it goes:
You caught the football pass, so here's the next "play" - hurry and pass the ball to 5 of your teammates so they can make a touch down. Write down 5 funny things about yourself. Also, please leave me a bone and ask those who visit your diary to leave you a bone so you will know they have been there! That's the "huddle"message, so let's line up and have some fun!!!
1. I get my own leash when it' s time to go outside (and hold in in my mouth in a most endearing way, according to mom)
2. I love to cuddle and actually HUG my humans.
3. I love squeaky toys and am really good at making them squeak!
4. I am a sock AND undie thief if I get the chance!
5. I have a beautiful girlfriend named Poppy!
I'm going to p-mail five frineds to get out there on the field and play!

OMD-- I had a very bad surprise last saturday!
I was very, very happy that day because Molly & Minnie (my furcuzzies) had come for a sleep-over! We had all been having a GRAND time... the 5 of us... and one of the most fun things was going out to potty and play in our back yard --off leash! We had been doing that all day... with no problems......of course mom always stays with us.
This day would prove different... however... I'm not sure if I sat down momentarily or simply stood still ... but apparently I disturbed a large fire ant mound... and they COVERED me! The weather is very dry here right now.. so you cannot always SEE those sneaky ants as they sometimes stay below the grass level in dry weather. I didn't understand what was happening.. but they don't call them FIRE ants for nothing, I can tell you. It felt like hundreds of cigarettes burning me...all over my body...and all at the same time! I ran to mom and she knew immediately that I was in trouble! She tried to brush them off of my tummy first... but that wasn't working at all... so she picked me up and ran in the back door...yelling to Dad to start filling a bath tub with water... Into the water I went ... and Mom then spent an hour shampooing me with flea shampoo and rinsing with the shower head -- water on full blast-- while wiping the ants away... She could feel them on my back better than she could see them, as my fur is mostly black -- she kept this up until no ants were going down the drain...WHEW.. we were both exhausted... and shaken... I was stinging all over and mom had her share of stings as well. But I was so APPRECIATIVE....my Mom is my hero... I ran all around the house....but returned to kiss Mom on the nose 3 times.. to thank her... The long bath wasn't fun but I knew that she was helping me! I don't know WHAT I would have done if Mom hadn't been with us. I feel sorry for animals that live outside all of the time! I am very thankful that if this had to happen that it was me and not my furcuzzies, Molly or Minnie. They were outside also.... Little Minnie is less than 2 lbs. and this could have made her very sick .. Mom always watches her very carefully when we go outside because a hawk could swoop down and get her!
Whew! I hope this never happens to any of you pals! My mom gave me a benedryl capsule. (the clear kind with no additives) Our vet has
prescribed that to Holly for her itchies in the past. The vet told mom today that they would have done the same.. only in shot form.. ow..
Since then I have been trying to get in mom's lap any chance I get.. so she has been sitting and holding me a lot... I love that..and so does she!
Take Care Pals...Be grateful if you don't have FIREANTS where you live.. and if you do...watch where you sit !
Wags!
Oliver! (maybe my name should be spot!)

I am sooooo happy to be home! In case you didn't know, I spent thursday and friday at the Vet Hospital. My mommy took me to get fixed... altho I don't know why because I wasn't broken at all! Apparently 4 months is the magic age when a guy can get "fixed"....whatever that is... I'm still puzzled... Apparently they also "fixed" a hernia that I had....hey, that was news to me too! I didn't have very much fun with the vet and his friendly crew. I was disappointed as I thought it was going to be a special holiday at a neat resort... boy, was I wrong. I won't go into the dismal details... but I certainly was happy to see my mom's face when she rescued me friday after she left work! The vet asst. who carried me out and handed me to mom gifted me with a little blue elephant... well worn and missing an eye.... as a souvenir of my time there... I think he was happy to leave there as well! Hey he's missing an eye... glad I got outta there with both of mine... phew...
I am having to stay in my corral (playpen) a lot..because mom says that the doctor's orders are that I remain quiet and calm...no JUMPING, RUNNING or PLAYING with other dogs!!!!!!! OMD...those things are MY LIFE...that's what I DO....that's who I am.... Bored Oliver....
Thank you for all the good wishes and puppy prayers.... especially the ones from Poppy, my sweetest girl. Mom appreciates the advice from her mummy and also from Princess Mia's mom. What would we do without our grrreat Dogster pals!
Thankfully!
Oliver !!!!

Hello Pals!
I have been "HOME" for 3 weeks now...and I cannot imagine being anywhere else! In 10 days I will be 3 months old! Mom & Dad say I have grown really quickly. I haven't weighed in a while, but 2 -1/2 weeks ago I weighed about 4 lbs... and now... gee... I have grown...probably gained close to 2 lbs. Life has been exciting... I met Glenn & Emily..and their new TINY Maltese girl, Minnie. I got to know and love Molly .. then Molly moved to her new home with Glenn & Em... She was my bestest playmate... and I was so sad when she left... BUT... wonders never cease.... Holly decided that I'm OK.... and now we run and play 24/7... Mom & Dad have noticed that she smiles all the time now...grins actually..(she always had a very serious look before)... I think she LIKES me! I will be happy when I'm bigger and can jump high, because Holly gets in the "Dog's chair" (as the humans call the comfy leather recliner that Holly has taken over)... when she wants to escape from me! I stretch and jump and jump and stretch and bounce ..bounce ... bounce... in an attempt to reach her.. grrrr.... I hope I grow really fast!
I think Peggy Sue really love me too, although she won't admit it.. She is really happy to see me anytime we have been apart for even a minute, and she tries to protect me anytime the very beautiful but unpredictable kitty, "Baby Doll" comes near. Peggy has mastered what we call her "surprise bark" which sends Baby Doll running for the door... Peggy Sue does not believe in a lot of play..and actually she calls it nonsense....when Holly & I play. She sometimes tries to break it up... by sitting between us... and telling us to stop immediately before SOMEDOGGY gets hurt! She also "complains" to mom & dad anytime they pick me up! Mom quickly retorts that she CAN pick me up! Yay MOM! Tell Peggy Sue...sometimes she gets too big for her britches! I love her though!
Today Mom & Dad took me for a car ride to Pet Smart. I was really popular there! Lots of people wanted to pet me and one small girl asked to HOLD me! AROOOOO...... I was really uncomfortable... but she was sweet...and I survived! I saw lots of doggies there... some were a little scary! I was happy that mom was carrying me! There were ZILLIONS of toys there... and I got to pick out a new one! Then we saw a really cozy blue bed that came with a matching blanket and soft squeaky toy...a bone. We got to bring it home! Holly & Peggy Sue thought it was beautiful! Holly tried it out... but it didn't fit her too well I suppose, because she tried to dig and rearrange it... Thankfully Mom put it into my playpen... corral.... so now it is ALL mine! Peggy looks through the wire at it.... and barks at it... also at my food dish...but that's ok... both are safe! I think I am starting to like my play pen!
More Later Pals! Happy St. Patricks Day to you all!

Hello Everyone!
I've been in my new home for ONE entire week! Wow..it went by so quickly. I miss my furmom & furdad and my furblings... but I really am happy here. I have 3 beautiful big sisters: Peggy Sue, Holly & Molly and 2 wonderful outdoor kitties....Sir Bob & Baby Doll, altho everyone tells me to stay away from cats. I don't know why! I love to go outside. We do it pretty often, because Molly scratches on the door a lot. Mom & Dad say I am doing GRRREAT, because I do ALL of my business EVERY time I go outside... very promptly too! Holly is a little jealous, because she takes FOREVER...and Daddy has to take her on her own private walks to give her ample time! I think she just does it to have special attention and time with Daddy. Holly has been a little sulky since I have been here. Peggy Sue mostly ignores me. She says she has no intention of raising another puppy! Molly is my favorite... SHE PLAYS with me and I LOVE her! Tonight we ran and romped and wrestled until mom told us to rest and cool off! Too bad that Molly will only live with us for one more week. Her Emily and Glenn are coming for her.. but she will live nearby. Mom says we will see her very often. I hope so..She is such a FUNDOG! Now I am 10 weeks old and I have just about everything figured out. I think I know just about everything now. I have even walked with my leash twice...although I am a FREE SPIRIT... and will try to convince mom that I do not need a leash like the girls!
Mom calls me her bouncing baby boy...yuuuck... but I do love to cuddle with mom...so I will let her baby me a bit... just to humor her..... :o)
Bye for now! PS...I love you!
