Arrival Story:
We weren't planning on getting another dog, but we ran across him on the internet and couldn't resist. He was an outdoor only dog that was bred to be the elderly couples next generation breeder. The couple was giving him up because they were moving and needed to down size their number of animals. When we got him, he turned out to be in bad shape. He was very afraid and wouldn't move. My wife had to carry him in our house by lifting one paw at a time up each step until he made it in. Dante had sores all around his mouth and muzzle (which scarred up so he has no fur around his muzzle at all). Dante also had Entropion in both eyes. It is a painful condition where their eyelids turn inward so their eyelashes are constantly rubbing their eye. The constant rubbing causes ulcers on their eye and eventually leads to blindness. We took him into the vet to have his eyes surgically repaired, got him neutered, and had his stomach tacked down to prevent bloat. What a long day for him! We also worked on Dante's socializing and he is such a sweet boy now.

Im having so much fun here on dogster. Everyone is being very nice and sweet to me. It makes me wag my tail like crazy. Today was a yummy day, I had a steak for lunch, mmmm it was so good and juicy. A great change from regular dry food. Thanks to all my pup pals, love you.


Birthday

I woke up today on my birthday in a strange place...my kennel! How did this happen, why am I not on the couch next to mom and dads bed? Well I'll tell you. All I wanted for my birthday was a pair of shoes, pretty red ones. So, while mom was at school, I got them, they were delicious. WHAT?...."thats bad!" "Kennel" I don't understand, its my birthday, thats what I wanted. So I spend the night in the kennel, it was very lonely. I bet Dirty was in my spot all night! So this morning, my birthday, I ate breakfast, and what do you think I did while my parents were showering? You got it, got that yummy taste of shoe in my mouth. I know it was bad, but it is soooo good. I better go, I hear them coming down stairs. I'll be in big trouble if they catch me on here....they probably think dogster is the cause of this new shoe chewing. BYE
