Arrival Story:
In June 2004, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I knew he needed some cheering up, and I thought a puppy would be the very best thing. I went to our local humane society and found Maggie. It turns out it was the best thing I ever did. My husband's last scans showed no tumors! As of November 17, 2004, my husband is in remission!!!
Bio:
Maggie is an indoor dog, but loves to get outside as much as possible. Maggie steals mom's chair whenever she gets up. She loves to do laps around the INSIDE of the house. She is the most loveable dog ever, and despite her growing size, she truly believes she is a lapdog.

Wow! It's been a long time since I've written in my Diary! Almost 2 years! I have grown up alot since then, but I still love to play all the time. My mom and dad say I'm the smartest dog ever. I'm not sure about that, but I know that they really love me and always do fun stuff with me. My dad is sick again, but he's starting to get better now. They told me when he's feeling alot better they're gonna take me back up to Lake Superior for a whole week! I can't wait! It'll be fun to play with my dad again. My mom tries to make time to play, but she's busy working and taking care of my dad. He's way more fun to play with anyway!

On Wednesday my mom and dad went to see his doctor about some tests to see if he still has cancer. My mom and dad came home from the doctor and were happier than I've ever seen them. They used a big word like "remission" and said he is much better. My mom said it's all because of me. That made me feel happy and proud.

Boy oh boy, last Sunday was pretty scary. First my mom put this dumb thing around my neck that she called a 'costume', whatever that is. Then all these little scary people kept coming to the door and my mom and dad would put candy in their bags. They wouldn't give me any though, cuz they said it would make my tummy hurt. I'm glad that's over!
