Arrival Story:
Mom tells me stories of how she got me when I was just a little pup- only 8 weeks old and I was only the size that my whole head is now. She said my doggie parents are named Sophie and Ripley and that I had lots of brothers and sisters and was born on a cold January day in another house that just LOVES Labs. When Mom got me, she was still sad from losing her other dog, Toby. He was a yellow lab/shepherd mix and he went over the rainbow bridge suddenly from a cancer called hemangiosarcoma that neither Mom or the vet knew he had. He was only 7 and mom didn't expect to lose him or be without a dog friend. Lucky I was around to help her be happy again! I'm 2 now and a much bigger boy than I was when I was 8 weeks. I'm 95 lbs, but a big ball of drooly love. Mom calls me "Dudley Boy" sometimes since I'm so fair and have pink eye rims and lips and nose. She says it makes me so cute. I don't care as long as she pays attention to me!
