 Quick Bio:
Likes: Loves from mom and dad and all my aunts!

Pet-Peeves: Mom on the computer; bikes; large noisy vehicles; little kids

Favorite Toy: Pig, my squeeky stuffed animal

Favorite Food: Jumbone; yogurt; nectarines

Favorite Walk: Up to the school so I can dig in the mole holes

Best Tricks: Talking, especially with Pig; Brushing up against mom right after she removed all my fur from her clothes

Arrival Story: Casey was rescued from a house where the person had a Pitbull that didn't appreciate the 8lb darling and decided to take a bite of her ear. She was also missing fur from three of her four legs and a chunk of her tail - only the fur on the tip was left. When I saw her, I couldn't leave her there - so home she came, infected ear, ring worm, and all. We immediately went to our vet who fell in love with her and worked on the ring worm first, then the infection on her ear. She was a mess, but she pulled through like a trooper.

Bio: She still has scarring from both the bite and the ring worm. Luckily, you can't see the stuff on her paws because of her coloring - it blends in with the fur so you don't notice that it's just bare skin. Her ear looks a little rough on the end, but you don't really notice it if you're not looking for it. You can feel it more than anything. She's a fierce protector and her arch-nemesis is the chipmunk that lives outside the front door. She loves her cats, even if they don't really love her, but its probably the big feet trying to squish them that is their main issue with her. She has a swimming pool that she likes to jump into in the summer and she fights with the hose so that she will get sprayed with it. She's pretty much killed any plants I had in the backyard because she likes to bury her bones and those things got in the way, so she digs them up and flicks them around the yard and then puts her bones in the hole left by the now severly traumatized plant. :)

Wow, the past year seems to have flown by. Let's see, what to say, what to say...
Remember that little fuzzy thing I wanted to eat, my parents called it Cleo? Hmm, yea, its now a permanent resident of the house and she TALKS all the time. I go outside and she's at the door chatting with me. I come in and she runs next to me, chatting with me before flopping over onto the floor - what's with that cat? (yes, I know what it is now that it's grown up). She's always stealing the parents from me when I want to play. I tend to snap at her a lot. Honestly, I really like her, but I have to set some boundaries with that little fuzzball.
Mom has a job now (one that takes her out of the house) so I'm on my own alot. The couch is my friend and I spend plenty of time on it. I have new toys, Sharky and Octopus, and I am constantly shoving them at mom and dad.
My mom is always talking about how hard my head it. She said she broke her toe on it. I don't know what she's talking about, though. Here is my side of the story....We're playing, I had my camel and was bopping it on her like I normally do. She uses her feet a lot to kick camel, I like it though because it makes funny noises when she does. So anyway, she's smacking camel with her foot and I'm bopping it on it as it connects. I don't know what happened, but I moved my head down to bop her foot and all of a sudden we hear a crack and then she's grabbing her foot and saying bad words and hoping around on the other. It made me mad because I wasn't done playing yet, but she didn't kick my camel anymore, so I lay down and watched her hold her toes. I saw it a few days later and it was kind of nasty looking - it certainly wasn't light like the rest of her body.
This isn't the first time I've hurt her either. I smacked my head into her nose once when we were playing ball and lots and lots of dark liquid came out. She sat down and placed a rag or something over her face while her head was tilted back. My mom thinks I fractured her nose, but how the heck do I know. I can't help it if I have strong bones. (I also bruised he knee up good too and she limped around the house like the toe incident).
Been to the big park a few times - I'm exhausted when we finish. All that hiking and stuff. Oh, and a few of my Aunts came to town to visit me and I was told that another one is coming to see me in a few months. I've also been told that I'm going on vacation with mom and dad this year because I'm unfriendly to mom's friend and he's going to come over and stay with my cats. I caught him outside in my yard once, but I made sure he didn't even think about moving, running around him and barking. I can be quite ferocious when I want to be. Mom calls me Cujo sometimes, like when the doorbell rings or someone knocks on the door. :)

We moved. I hated it. It was awful for me. I don't like riding in cars and I had to ride in Dad's big pick-up truck. They gave me something and I SWEAR I was cross-eyed. Luckily for me they didn't give me any more of that stuff because I couldn't walk straight. They were sorry they gave it to me though and I got tons of lovin' from them.
I love my new house though - it's bigger than my old place and the yard is awsome! I have new doggie neighbors and we run the fence with each other, but I can' t see them because it's a solid fence. Mom is home every day with me (she says she's looking for a new job, but I thought I was her job!).
Oh, and I found something in the bushes awhile ago and mom brought it into the house. Now there is this little black fuzzy thing running around and they won't let me chase it. They call her Cleo and she hisses at me when I manage to trap her under the couch ::big grin:: They keep hold of my collar when I'm around her. Mom says I can't eat her, but she looks tasty and would easily fit into my mouth. My cat's don't like her either - they hiss and run from her, which is funny because she is so much smaller than them. I'm not certain what Cleo is, but she's pretty mobile and it gets me ALL excited.
It's nice out and mom was raking the leaves in the back and me being me, I had to run through the piles. I just love the way those giant piles of leaves feel against my legs and chest. Plus it gets mom irritated and she chases me out of the pile, which I love, so of course I go right back in when she isn't looking. I also attack the rake, which really gets her going. One time I even managed to take it out of her hands and run around the yard with it. That was before I tripped. LOL
Oh, and since my yard is so big now I play soccer. Man I'm so good at it. Mom and Dad are always trying to take it away from me, but I hold on or kick it away from them. We have so much fun. Anyway, it's nap time for me now so I need to crawl up on the couch and take a snooze.

I don't know what the heck is going on with the weather, but it's dang cold. I love it. My mom doesn't though - she won't take me out on walks in this weather. I keep trying to tell her if she had fur all over like me, that she wouldn't have a problem with the wind and whatever else is bugging her, but no, she ignores me and puts all those 'clothes' on (whatever the heck they are). Anyway, it's very cold here - so cold even my cats won't go outside (my mom says its 9 degrees with a -3 windchill; like I know what that means?). She's been playing with me in the house. I grab pig and she talks to me and mom and I go up and nudge mom (at pigs insistance!) and then we run around the house. Mom tricks me sometimes and we play hide and seek - she's pretty crafty for a human. Right now I'm lounging on the futon, mom says I snore, but since I can't hear anything, I think she's on catnip.
Well, hope everyone has a super holiday - don't eat any ornaments, you'll get tummy aches. :-p
