Arrival Story:
On Palm Sunday 2004, my daughter and I went to the grocery store to pick up a few provisions for a pot luck family lunch. There was a woman in the parking lot with a laundry basket filled with little black puppies... 10 of them. Of course, my daughter wanted to go see but I said no. On our way out, there was one puppy left, and my daughter asked again if we could stop and look, so we did. The lady said that her brother left town and left his pregnant lab with her. She was also pregnant and said the puppies were becoming too much for her to handle. Jake was the last one left - the runt, she said... he was SO tiny! We sat in the grass and he ran right over to me, I picked him up and he buried his face in my neck, and I "just knew"... Jake belonged with us... so we took him home that day, and he's been part of our family ever since.

Bio:
Jake is a graduate of the Puppy Headstart Program and now he's in "big dog" obedience school. He's completed basic and off leash obedience training. On June 12, 2005 he received his AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Yay, Jake!!! He's a really smart guy and we are so proud of him! Jake thinks flyball looks like loads of fun, so if you live in the area and are interested in playing flyball with Jake - please shoot him a dogster email, okay? He enjoys going to doggie daycare, going to the park, long walks, swimming, fetching, frisbee, playing with friends, going to 'good dog school', rides in the car, dinner time, knuckle bones, his orbee ball, belly rubs and just about everything else in life except getting his nails cut.
