Holy Mackrel

It's been WAY too long since my Mom wrote last. We are all doing great. Razzles (my fur-sister) has really warmed up to us in this past year that she's been with us. She will actually lay down and play with me alone now. She still gets me nervous when my Mom throws a ball for me or Gravy to fetch, she'll run after us instead of after the ball. She doesn't know how to fetch. But that's ok, she's cool. My Mommy has been working a lot. Everyone's doing well. talk to you all soon-hopefully.

I'm back!!

Sorry it's been so long since my Mommy let me on the computer. She's been very busy. Summer is definitely here. Mommy's been so busy with work and kids doing things. Gravy and I just had our first experience going to a doggie hotel together. Mommy, Daddy and Ricky went away for the weekend and we got to stay in a local kennel. We had a blast. We stayed together in the same kennel because Gravy has separation anxiety if he's alone. I thought it was so cool. We could go outside whenever we wanted, and we got to stay up as late as we wanted too. I must say I was happy when Mommy came to pick us up though. I missed her very much. I do like to sleep with Mommy better than at the doggie hotel. But it was still fun.

new adventure

Mommy took me to the soccer field yesterday. My human brother had practice so Mommy took me along! I had so much fun. I got to meet another doggie named Winston Churchill...he was very yippy. It hurt my ears. Mommy took me for a walk while my brother played soccer. There were so many new smells. My Mommy told me that gophers lived at the field. I was wondering what all the weird bumps were in the ground. Great time. Next time Mommy said that she'll bring my brother-Gravy!!

Back to my ol' self

Well since my last entry, I'm doing much better. I'm still on my meds but Mommy says I can play with Gravy! I played with him Sunday and wooped his butt! He thinks he's so tough, but he's not really. I can hold him down-Ha!
But now his new thing is he likes to grab my ears cause they stick out. They're floppy and he thinks that they are a great chew toy. Ouch. Mommy yells at him when he does that to me. It sure is great to be back to playing with him again.

on Medicine...

I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Jackson for this coming Friday but Mommy said I had a lump near my incision and she didn't like the way that it looked. After one day, it appeared to have doubled in size. So she took me last Tuesday and the doctor said that I'm ok, it's just my skin reacting to the stitches underneath the skin. The doctor also put me on an anti-inflamatory/antibiotic and that should help. I just want to play with Gravy, but the doctor said that I have to wait awhile longer. AAAhahhhhh....On a better note, I'm back to sleeping on my human sister's bed on a regular basis. I love spending time with her. Tomorrow night I will sleep with my human brother for the first time. Everyone wants to sleep with me, it's so funny. I DO snore, I wonder if my human brother knows that yet? Ha

Gardening

Mommy had me outside with her while she was doing some gardening. It was on the cool side and a little bit of on and off drizzle but we still had fun. While Mommy was gardening I think I found all the tennis and rubber balls in the yard. I ran around for a long time until Mommy said that we had to clean up and go in cause the race was starting. I can't wait to run and play with Gravy as soon as the doctor gives me the ok.

Is it the weekend yet?

I can't wait until I get to play with my Big Brother-ruff housin' again. I miss doing that. Since I had surgery Mommy says I can't ruff house for awhile. Every time Gravy walks past me to go out to the yard, I attack him cause I want to play. Mommy just doesn't understand it's hard to keep a 15 month old Lab down! I spent some of Wednesday afternoon helping my Mommy and Auntie do some gardening. They were putting in a new garden and I took it upon myself to eat some of the clay/dirt laying around. Then I found a stone any Yippie I had Mommy chasing me all over the yard. Whoops not suppose to run. oh well.

Doing better...

Well I'm feeling a lot better. I was a mess the day after the surgery. I couldn't even bark when someone came to the door, it hurt too much. Mommy gave me some pain meds and I feel better. I can make it up the stairs so that I can sleep with my Mommy. She won't let me jump up on the bed or couch. I feel much better but I guess she knows best.

Well now I know what my Mommy was talking about-I survived but I had surgery today. I'm ok but it really hurts. I think I'll just sleep for now.

hungry

My Mom won't feed me this morning. I don't think I did anything bad. I've been a good girl I'm sure of it. My brother got to eat while I was outside. Mommy tried to distract me by putting me out a second time early this morning, but I knew something was up. When I came in I was sure my food dish would be full, but NOTHING!! She keeps telling me "later baby, you can eat". I do know that I am going to the doctors this morning for something. Mommy calls is getting 'spayed'. Never heard her say that one before, sounds funny. Tell you guys about it later.
