 Quick Bio:
Likes: playing catch, charging full speed ahead, laying on Mommy's lap, getting his ears and belly rubbed, sticking his nose into anything Mommy's doing that he can reach

Pet-Peeves: the dreaded nail clipper, getting stuck in his crate, being said "No!" to, not being able to go to work with Mommy, the hairdryer

Favorite Toy: Nylabone of the week, Shrek toy, bouncy green thing, any small dogs in the neighborhood (j/k)

Favorite Food: anything even semi-edible

Favorite Walk: going to the pond in our neighborhood where the ducks hang out

Best Tricks: hanging from ring or rope in mid-air, sleeping with his legs in the air, balancing on the couch armrest beside the computer table, Sit!

Arrival Story: We've always had dogs growing up, and I'd been wanting a bull terrier for a while. I saw him at a pet store near my work. They told me he was a mini, which would fit my living situation (small condo unit). I just needed the tiniest push, and I broke down and took him home. Turns out, he's a full-sized BT. Either that or he's a really big mini...

Bio: Alexander came from Russia (thus his official name), according to his papers. He came over with a sibling, whom I would love to find so they could meet. BT's are described as "clownish", but I didn't realize just how much until I got Alexander. He has the cutest facial expressions, especially when he's slowly sliding backwards off the couch. Doesn't try to stop himself from falling at all. He'll balance precariously on the armrest closest to my computer table, because he just has to see what I'm working on. He follows me everywhere. He has a neurological condition called spinning or tail chasing -- a type of canine compulsion disorder. I didn't know this was a pretty common problem with BTs, until Alexander started doing it. He is currently in the care of Dr. Kallenbach (our local vet) and Dr. Moon (from Tufts U in Boston, who is doing a study of the genetic component in tail chasing in BT's). Both have been so patient with me and my endless questions! :O) If you would like to know more about this BT problem, write me or check on the website: thebullterrier.com.
