as a labrador i have tended to have problem wit my joints, so one day it was found that i had torn my cruciet ligament, just like the football players, so i had to go up to a special doctor in bristol and stay there while it was mended, i was scared cuz mummy liz had to leave me all alone while the nice young doctor made it all better. It was most embarrassing because i had to have my behind shaved , just like some froufrou poodle! i think i had to wear one of those collars that made me look like a lampshade! but that could have been for the "other, ahem," operation. poor old me, i have been in the wars! luckily i have a family that loves me, and gives me treats, and lets me sleep in front of the telly!

when i was a puppy, my mummy liz and daddy malcolm, thought i needed a bit of training, so took me in the car, (which is exciting, cuz i love looking out the window trying to spot cats) to a class with lots of other dogs and interesting smells. i didnt like the shouty lady at the front but she always had garlic liver in her pocket so i forgave her. i met my first best friend harry there, who taught me sum very important things about being a dog! we stopped going after a while because i must have been trained enough! but quite why it was important that i have to sit before i get food is beyond me, as long as get the food!

i used to love going to cornwall in my younger days, i used to chase rabbits and cats in the field behind my house, and sometimes my owner mummy liz used to take me to the beach. i didnt like the water much, but i used to paddle up to my toes to make them happy! for all you amateur freuds out there, my dislike of water came from an incident in my puppyhood where i fell off a deceptively slippery rock, and fell in the sea.
one of my favourite games i played on thje beach was dog tennis; where mummy liz, and feefee used to stand a distance apart and call me to make me run back and forth, it was tiring i can tell you! i always looked forward to returning back to the nice warm little house, for a rest, and maybe a bit of my owner's pasty, (licks lips) mmmmm!
