Arrival Story:
One day I was looking out my living room window and I saw a dog running down the street following some guy. They guy was trying to get the dog to quit following him. I went outside and called "come here doggie" and he came running over. He was sooooooooo dirty, very under weight, covered in fleas and was STINKY! No tags, just a huge collar that was about 5 sizes too big. My other dog Cleo (not with us any more) did not like other dogs so she had always been the only dog, but I was convinced I had to keep this stinky dog. We took him to the vet and the vet said not to find his owner because had been mistreated and we would be a great new family for him. Well after lots of tears and begging my husband agreed to keep him. While sitting in Chilis trying to decide what to name him, my husband said... Captain Jack! I said, "why captain"? He said "Because he is captain of the fleas!" Cleo fell in love with Jack and he has been a wonderful dog and a perfect member of the family.
