 Quick Bio:
Likes: Cuddling with my parents at night

Pet-Peeves: plastic bags, men taking off their caps and other dogs not wanting to play

Favorite Toy: My duck!

Favorite Food: Peanut Butter

Favorite Walk: all around my new neighborhood

Best Tricks: I am a champion wrestler at my dog park!

Arrival Story: I was with a family when I was very little, but as my people family grew my mom decided she couldn't handle all of us, so took me to a local shelter. I did not like that place. There was very little time with the humans, and not all of the other dogs were nice to me. After a few months my new family came to visit the shelter and I was so excited to find them! I have a Mom and Dad that love me so much (and Dad always sneaks people snacks to me) and a teenage Uncle that likes to play with me, but I don't always understand what he wants me to do. There are two other Uncles and three Aunts that come to visit sometimes. I love them all. I especially love it when they bring my cousins Buster and Logan over to play, they are wonderfully fun!

Bio: Sometimes there are things that scare me and my Mom cuddles with me and makes me feel lots better and very loved. She thinks that there were some really bad times for me, but I just don't like to think about them. I really do love my new home and my new family.

I am so glad this is the end of my family's week. They seem to relax and spend more time with me (and my brother, I guess) when they don't have to get up early and leave the house. My mom is happier when everyone is around too. This week has been so busy...Mom spent hours and hours cleaning and making wonderful smells in the kitchen...then she did the most mean thing ever (and she is usually so very nice!)
SHE SENT ME AND BANDIT UPSTAIRS and DIDN'T LET US MEET THE LOTS OF PEOPLE THAT CAME!!!!!
Mom should know that greeting visitors is one of mine and Bandit's favorite things to do! Not only didn't we get to play, but we didn't get to eat any of the great smelling foods either! I spent the next morning ignoring Mom, I think she got the message, I was not happy with her. But I couldn't keep that up too long, after all she feeds us and I love her lots. I just hope we don't have any more things like that happen anytime soon.
Bandit is getting better, learning to take turns and that I am the boss around here. The only thing is he still seems to forget whose in charge when he is chewing on a bone or treat. I WAS here first so I should get at least a piece of everything!
This morning I decided to try something new...when we got treats I gave him a little piece of mine while he was loving on our Mom. It worked out great! She was so proud of me and gave me another! BTW I didn't share that one BOL
Well, think I will nap now and dream of those smells Mom was making in the kitchen.

Wow, this new brother, Bandit, can be exhausting! I have been trying to help Mom keep him under control, but puppies have so much energy AND don't always pay attention to the rules. I try to tell him that he shouldn't chew on our human's shoes (silly as they are), still he goes on with it.
Poor baby got this nasty cut on his face, but I have gotten that on the mend. Mom thinks that gunk she put on from the Vet's office, but we know it was all the hard work I put in that did the trick!
I had to make sure Bandit got out this morning to avoid any accidents that upset Daddy so much. Think I'll got take a nap now...bark at ya later...Dixie

Today has been a really great day! My new brother is officially part of the family! I am so glad Mom found Bandit, I really love him and enjoy playing with him.
Let me tell you about Bandit ~ he is younger than I am and I am helping my mom take care of him. He was stuck in the middle of three dogs fighting at the shelter and has a cut on his face. I make sure it is clean and he doesn't hurt too much. Sometimes I go get Mom to put medicine on it. I don't know why, but she always cleans it again and sometimes it aggravates me. He came to stay with us a couple of days ago, then we went back to the shelter today and I was worried that Bandit was going to stay there.
Anyway, we got new toys and treats and I am careful to share with my new brother. I don't like to share my humans, but I am getting used to that. I will always be happy to remember this day! Welcome home Bandit!
