Arrival Story:
I became friends with a breeder of Great Danes. Her Danes were out of Champion blood lines, so needless to say way out of my price range. I had no family in the area since I just moved to the state. She invited myself and my boyfriend at the time to her house for Easter. When I arrived she told me to go check out the puppies ...who had just been born. While I was looking them over she told me that two in the litter will probably be deaf and she would love for me to have one of the deaf puppies. If she has a deaf puppie she is very careful who she allows to purchase the deaf puppies. Mostly, because she doesn't want them to be used for breading and she just all around protective of her Danes. The puppy I picked out (all white blue eyes) turned out she could hear perfect. So I had to take the second puppy. Two weeks before I was suppose to take her home....she asked me if I would take a different pup who wasn't all white but was deaf. She wanted me to take her that day...b/c the other puppies where too rough with her (the runt) and she was becoming very aggressive because of it. I took her home that day and created a bond that is out of this world.

Bio:
She is deaf...but I believe she may be able to hear herself in someway, if that's possible. I believe this b/c I've heard fully deaf dogs and their barks are horrible. She has a very normal sounding bark. She is also 75-99% blind in left eye...due to an escape plan gone wrong.
