 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: March 25th 1995
Likes: Reading and writing his pee-mail; Lake Isabel; snuggling and talking-- especially in the morning; doing his backdance

Pet-Peeves: Getting left behind when mom & dad leave; going to the vet (not a big fan of getting the temperature taken in the rear...can't say I blame him)

Favorite Toy: tennis ball; stick; rawhide chews - anything that can be retrieved, or better yet- chewed on!

Favorite Food: Raw meat; yogurt; carrots; grapes; anything mom and dad are eating looks good!

Favorite Walk: The beach

Best Tricks: He knows that if the phone rings and we answer and dial 9, we are buzzing someone in and he'd better bark and pretend to be a tough guy; when he wants something he stamps his back foot and shakes his head like a bull

Arrival Story: Dakota was born on a farm in Colorado. A friend of mine told me about him because I was always doting on her dogs and she thought I should have one of my own. He was pre-sold to someone in another state, but they didn't claim him, so he was given to me because I didn't care about having his papers, etc.

Bio: Dakota has more heart than any dog I've ever known. He has been prone to virtually every problem you could imagine, yet he never complains, is always a nice guy, and is a very happy dog. He broke his wrist when he was 3 months old, which never properly healed; he's hypothyroid, has allergies, chronic ear infections, and arthritis/hip dysplasia. The past 2 years have been especially brutal-- he's had 3 surgeries in the past year, including hip & elbow surgery...and a surgery to remove a tumor in which they had to also take out 3 ribs! Thanks to Sol Companion in Berkeley, he's recovered and doing better every day. I highly recommend Sol Companion to anyone whose dog could use physical therapy. Check out Dakota on the hydrotreadmill in the photos.
