Arrival Story:
I have a wonderful 12-month-old Pit Mix boy. I am not sure what he is mixed with, but several have given us their opinion, such as sharpei, chow, or even boxer. He weighs 55 pounds and has a smooth coat that doesn’t shed much. I have had him since November 2007. He is a very active dog and loves to play chase and fetch, although he sometimes runs away with the toy instead of bringing it back! He does fine during storms. The thunder does not scare him, but he doesn’t like to get wet in the rain. He loves to play with other dogs his size and he gets along great with cats (we have a cat that sleeps with him at night). He is a bit toy and food possessive with the dogs, he was starving when we found him and tries to gobble his food along with everyone else’s. He has been neutered and is current on his shots.
I am looking for a family that will spend time getting him out and doing things with him because he is very smart and very active. A family with children 8 or older would be fine. An older family would be OK if they were active and there was a plan of who would take him if something happened to them. He is good with younger children, but he doesn’t realize how strong he is and sometimes knocks them over, even though he doesn’t mean to.
Bio:
Buster was adopted by a new owner on April 16, 2008. His new owner is in construction and is planning to take him to work everyday. I'm sure Buster is thrilled that he doesn't have to be left at home any more!!!
