Cooper's Thoughts...

2009 is going to be a Great Dane of a Year!

I know, I promised to write but I have had a lot going on.

The year started with me having to go to the Emergency VET. I know I said it, but I had to go. You see I had this bump on my leg that has been there for a long time. When the Mommy asked a couple of vets about it when she was fostering me they said not to worry about it, it didn't look like anything. She watched it and well one Sunday it got swollen. It scared her and the next thing you know it burst! I know YUCK!!! She took me to the ER Vet and they told her that it looked like a tumor and I would have to have surgery. The Mommy was upset but tried not to show it. She called Claw, Maggie & Aggie's Mommy to talk to her. She was there for the Mommy when her Diesel died and she is very sweet and calming. I had to take some med because the area was infected, that is why it burst! Once my meds were done we could to the surgery. Well I went in like a good boy and took a nap and when I woke up I had these things on my leg and a cone around my neck. Not cool, not cool at all. The Mommy stayed home with me and watched me to make sure I didn't try to pull the things out of my leg. Silly Mommy I so wouldn't do that! Anyway a week later the Vet called and it wasn't Cancer!!! YES!!! Get this, it was a impacted/infected hair folicles. Crazy isn't it? The Mommy is so happy and hase been telling everyone that 2009 is our year!

Yes, a GREAT Dane of a YEAR!!!

Now got to run to Cobblestone Square to play with Claw! He is my bestest buddy! Oh, and he is a cat! BOL!!!

It has been quite a few months since I last wrote. I moved to my friend Titus' house for a while when I was still in foster care. My foster mom would come and visit me all the time and spend the night with me alot. Then she was gone for a few weeks and I thought maybe she had found another foster doggie to love. Titus' mom kept telling me, oh Coopy she is coming back for you, just you wait only blah blah more days. Well one morning I was laying outside in the sun with Mia and I heard a voice and it was my foster mom!!! She said, hey there handsome are you ready to go for a long ride? I was like, are you kidding I have been waiting all my life! I jumped into the van and off we went. We drove for 2 days and spent the night in a hotel and then we came HOME. It is the best to be HOME again. You see I had a home before, but things just didn't work out between my other Dane brother and I. It happens. I just found out that Jack (my Dane brother) got very sick and now he is at the Rainbow Bridge. My foster mom, oh I mean my Mom said a prayer and asked her Gabby & Diesel to look after him for my old family. I know they are very sad, as they loved both of us very much. My old family even sent some of my puppy pictures to my new mom. I really was a very cute puppy! Well we should be around a bit more as we are finally getting settled in. It is really tough unpacking stuff let me tell you. All these bones, babies and blankets!!!

Got to get some rest now,

Busy week...

Well, my week has been busy. Tuesday night I had a little bit of an upset tummy with lots of gas in it, my foster mom thought something bad was happening so she took me to the emergency vet. I had to spend the night there. The next day I was supposed to be there to have some special pictures done, so I just hung out with all the cool people. Turns out that they still don't know what is going on with me. They think the best thing for me is to get my tummy tacked, so I am going to another vet on Tuesday for some surgery. Too bad you couldn't get like bones & cookies like frequent flyer miles for vet visits, I would have tons!!! BOL!!!

Besides all that stuff, things are going good. I am learning how to walk on the leash really well. I don't pull like I did when I first got here. I am great at snuggling, in fact I would say I would be a gold medalist. I love to just get right next to you and snuggle my head right into your side and then take a nap. Yes, gold medalist... I like that...

Well, I guess I am going to go and snuggle!
