Arrival Story:
I found Honey wandering on a busy highway in the middle of the winter. She was hungry, severely underweight with every rib showing, had a skin infection, and she was limping. I took my dogs home, and went right back with food and water for her. I didn't know how she would react to me, so I approached her cautiously. However, I soon found out that I had nothing to worry about; Honey came right to me, let me hug her, and followed me when I went back to the car for my phone. I opened the back door, and she tried her best to climb in. I had to help her because her back leg was hurt (a physical by the vet revealed it had been broken). Her eyes spoke volumes about the life she had endured. She was so sad, scared and neglected. I knew in an instant that I had to try to make this world a better place for her. She is now living indoors, with a warm bed to sleep in, plenty of food and water, lots of toys and much love. And she is thriving in her new home.
