Arrival Story:
Lolly had been in the shelter for a few weeks with her mother (a small Poodle/Dachshund mix). They were required to be adopted together but everyone wanted her mother and no one wanted her. I walked into the shelter one day and saw the mother had been adopted out and Lolly was laying in the cage alone. She was growling at everyone who passed. I opened the cage door and couldn't get her to come out. I literally had to pick her up and haul her out of there. I originally took her as a foster, but after 2 days with my sweet girl, it was clear that she was meant to be with me forever.

Bio:
Lolly is one of the smartest dogs I've ever seen. She's been a true joy to me and I cherish every minute with her. She's had a troubled past (she was in an abusive home for 5 years) and has had to overcome a lot. With each passing day, the hard times become more and more of a distant memory and she is turning into a happy and confident dog.
