Pumpkin used to love to destroy tennis balls, and stuffed animals, but she's pretty content to sleep these days.

FOOD!!! I LOVE FOOD! WHERE'S THE FOOD?!

Favorite Walk:
Punky has an adventerous side and takes herself on walks through the bayou, although in her prime she was a good running partner.

Best Tricks:
She will sit with a treat on her paw until you say "You're Free!", When she was younger she would stand on two legs and walk backwards when you said "up... back" and would catch the treat in the air! And she can sing in tune!

Arrival Story:
Our family finally decided to get a dog, and a friend of our was the "Mother Teresa" of dogs. She said she had a small beagle mix that was probably full grown and did we want her. As a first dog we thought the size would be just right. Pumpkin, however had other ideas and grew into a giant Malamute mix over a short period of time.

Bio:
Pumpkin had been found in really bad condition. She had been hit by a car and the bones had re-healed incorrectly (to this day she has a huge scar under her right elbow). She had been in an abusive situation and it took months for her to not flinch when we raised our hands to pet her. She was afraid of the leash and would run away when we took it out. But she made a fabulous recovery and is the best dog I've ever seen. She 's protective and gentle and very intelligent!
