Arrival Story:
We adopted Sophie from a kennel in Connecticut. She and her brother were the last of a litter of six Schnoodles. When we got her she was very timid, scared to death of everything and everyone. We have now had her for 11 months and she continues to remain afraid. For the first 2 months we had Sophie, she wouldn't even be inthe same room with us. It took us 3 months to get a leash on her and walk her. It has been a long difficult road for poor Sophie. It breaks my heart to see her so scared. We have worked with her on a daily basis to ease her fear and the progress has been extremely slow. She has formed an unnerving/unnatural attachment to my golden Georgia. If they are separated, even for a minute, Sophie panics and wails until she can find Georgia. Sophie does play with our Shih-Tzu well which has been a good thing.
