Yesterday I had one of the most scary experiences in my young life. Mommy took me to Bow-Wow-Meow to have the hair on my ears trimmed. The lady seemed nice at first, and the other dogs seemed very interesting, but then she took out a big buzzy thing and began to shave my ears. YIKES! It was completely unfair because she then took a firm grip of my beard and shaved around my eyes! Mommy felt bad when I cried but the lady said she wasn't hurting me and that I would get used to this. I learned that if I stay very quiet and still that it's over pretty quickly. Everyone says that I look like a big girl now. I have to admit that I can see really well without all that hair in my eyes and my ears look nice and pointy.
Today was much happier for me because Charlotte came in to work. I was surprised to see how much she's grown - she's almost as big as me!

Whew! I'm all tuckered out!
My best puppy buddy "Charlotte" came in to work today and we got to do some serious roughhousing. We're pretty well matched, but she has a sneaky wrestling hold I can't quite beat - the "beard grab". Charlotte doesn't have a beard, so I need to try other tactics. Sometimes I can flip her by putting my head under her belly and lifting her up. She's really cool!
I also got a bath today. I'm not crazy about baths, but I stay very still and it's over quickly. The best part is how good I feel afterward.

Today we brought the rats with us to the office. They're pretty good company for me, and give me someone to sniff at while mommy is working on the computer. I got a real shock when I tried to give Jackie a kiss on the nose -- literally! Mommy says that it's because there's static in the carpet here. I just hope Jackie understands that I really didn't mean to make her nose hurt!
Jessica brought her little parrot (Peco) in today as well. Peco is really pretty and colorful, and much more interesting than the rats. I still need to learn to be very gentle with her, (or him???) but I think we'll be friends soon.
