Arrival Story:
Dottie got hit by a car, she had a high fracture of the femur near the hip socket. The teenagers in the household said to call the police to shoot her. But a concerned neighbor brought her to an emergency vet clinic. She was in a lot of pain and was really sad, and her owners abandoned her. One day, after having an accident in her cage, a concerned employee helped clean her up. After many years of working with injured dogs, the manager expected the dog to guard the injury or snap. However, dottie did not snap, was very well behaved and recognized the fact that the worker was there to help. Dottie had big brown "dottie dog" eyes and an excellent demeanor while in a painful situation. As a result, she quickly became a member of a new family.

A good dog day

Today was a good dog day. I started the day playing in the backyard with my best friends, Snoopy and Lilly. We played ball, wrestled, ran and sniffed stuff. I think the neighbor dogs were jealous. It was a little too cold to stay out all day, so I went home and slept. I also had a big bowl of food, but the cats got too close to it, so I ate all of it. Really fast. I like food, I also like cats as long as they don't get too close to the food. Anyway, I need to go get petted. Talk to you all later!

Ice Storm...AGAIN!!!!

I am really getting tired of these ice storms and I am especially tired of going outside when it is cold and wet. I'm a dog, not a penguin. I sure hope my owners find a solution for this. Next time I go out, I am going to demand an escort with an umbrella!

Got to go, time to eat.

Good dottieday. Played with my first best friend Snoopy and my second best friend Lilly. Ran. Ran. Ran. Chased ball. Ran. Played keepaway-from-human. Wrestled with my friends. Went home. Had chew bone. Chewed bone. Chew, chew, chew. There was only hard, crunchy food in my bowl, so I indicated to my people that I would like something different like soft, succulent, chicken and gravy. I waited patiently by the bowl, but once I heard the can open I got too excited to sit still, so I did the hoppity dance that the people seem to like, and it hurried them up.

Mmmmmmmmm. Gooood.

Yeah, I got it good, other English Pointers have to work in the rain, I go out when I want to. (And sometimes in the rain, I make the people take me out with an umbrella. Take that, you working dogs.)

Don't get me wrong, I work too. I really like to chase the ball and catch the ball and stuff, but I like my birds cooked. And served to me on a plate.

Okay, well I'm going to take a nap now. On the bed. On the people's satin pillowcase. (Truly, they think it's cute. Try it!)

Bark at you later,
