Arrival Story:
Claude was given to me by a boyfriend for Christmas. My parents were so thankful that it was not a ring. I was in college at the time, and he was so destructive as a puppy and bored. I was afraid that I had to give him up. I even was prepared to put an ad in the paper to sell him. My boyfriend at the time never considered my schedule at all. So, my parents said they would keep him until I finished. With a few behavior classes, Claude turned out to be a great dog. He even got most improved in our class! Claude's favorite thing is to be asked, "Where's Timmy? Is Timmy in the well?" He goes nuts with barking and running for his leash, after a walk he is perfectly calm. January 2007, Claude had a slipped disc and was paralyzed from the waiste down. It was horrible. With a little TLC, walking, meds and physical therapy at home, he has fully recovered! The rest is history as he still lives in my home!
