Back in Dec. 1998, I went searching for a new pal. I saw Bud @ the pound just before Christmas, he seemed very sweet being in a cage with 3 other dogs. I was having a party & did not know how he would react with so many people around, so I left him there until 12/27/98. I went back to the pound & he was still there. It was meant to be! He was there since October waiting for us. At that time the pound only took cash payments & I only had $30.00 on me. Well, I ran to the ATM, rushed back there befored they closed. He was "on sale" for $25.00. It was THE best 25 dollars I ever spent. My only regrets was I didn't adopt him sooner. He was about 1year old, skinny, full of ticks, & had a nasty case of kennel cough. Most important was his personality, what a guy!
Bio:
After adopting him, he rewarded us every day. Every weekend it was a race to see who would get in the pool 1st. Bud ALWAYS won, he didn't have to put a bathing suit on. He shared his home with Zak, a cockatiel & 2 African greys, georgie & Alfie. Sometimes when the birds would get too loud, he would cover his ears with his paws, then get up & go to the other side of the house. He was always very gentle with them & learned very quickly - he didn't have to take orders from them, no matter how many times they would say "come here Bud"
