Arrival Story:
Lexi was an answered prayer and blessing. She come along at just the right time in our life and Daisy & Zero's. Zero had underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from the top of her skull. There was no guarantee that it would never come back. Both her and Daisy were getting on up there and the reality had set in that they would one day not be with me. Because they are so close in age, I was not only worried about me if something was to happen to one of them but to the other dog too. They are so close, having been around each other all their little lives. Daisy and Zero were each dependent on the other in various ways. So, I was really afraid of what would come of the other when one passed away. My husband and I had just gotten married. We were talking about my concern of the girls getting older and having to prepare for that dredded day, one day. He suggested that it might be easier on both me and the girls if we got a new puppy. A new addition to the family would do all of us some good. So, upon returning from our wedding/honeymoon, we went to visit a breeder friend. There they were, 4 adorable one week old corgi puppies. They were all nicknamed by Carol, Lexi's nickname was Fergie, after princess ferguson (because she was the chunky monkey of the bunch) and we knew then that she was the one. God answered the prayer so clearly. The puppy that was nicknamed the same as what my friends called me, "fergie" because my new last name was Ferguson. Lexi is the missing piece of the puzzle that we needed to complete our family. Since she come along, the girls have had a dip in the fountain of youth. Both just as playful and entergetic as they were when they were puppies. And, their health never better. We truly love our lil angel in fuzzy corgi form.
